hello everyone! here's my first entry for 2015 sweepstakes. its FT Baby Blender v2 from flitetest.com . i started this build 10 days ago on 17th June, but due to busy schedule i'm posting it now..

So here we go,

For this build i have used 5mm depron and for the electronics i have emax cf2812 (rewinded) , 9x4 prop , redbrick 30a esc , emax 9g servos, and 2200mah 20c 3-cell lipo.    





plans downloaded and ready to cut out the pieces.


Started with the wings.

made the crease for the fold and 45 degree bevel for the leading edge.

glued the spar.


since 5mm depron is brittle while folding, so reinforced it with tape on the other side so that i can make the wing structure easily.


completed wings.

glued 5mm carbon strip and reinforced with fiber tape on these parts to give them some support because they are the only pieces which will hold the two wings together.



glued them to the first wing

then to the second one

covered the wing tips with 5mm depron and sanded to shape.

fuse template  


motor mount. added some extra pieces for strength.

next day.


now the back end of the fuse

glued the tail section and added a support piece for strength.

glued the support in place

structure is made with thin 2mm depron and glued the servos in place

since i'm not using any power pod , so made a battery and receiver holder for it.
support for the holder:-

glued two Velcro straps to hold the battery in place

added railings to the plate

glued it into the support and attached two carbon rods back and front for the rubber band to hold the wings

now the fun part building the wheels .
cut out the templates and glued them together with a carbon tube in middle



after the glue is cured , i pushed it into the motor shaft for sanding

gave it a spin and sanded it round..
before sanding.

after sanding.


joined the tail wheel to the rudder too

atteched the aileron servo and linkages

rudder and elevator linkages

after painting attached the landing gear

finally completed:-

the weather is not suitable for flying here. i think its been 5 or 6 days in showers of blessings. will upload the test flight video soon after the weather becomes calm.......

so after days of showers of blessings, finally here's the test flight videos...

first flight:-
it was funny that i thought it will fly , eagerly increasing the throttle , ready to fly in the sky but then this happened:-

i ruined my self confidence , prop stuck on grass.... and what a flip.....
