Mini Avispad (90%) Build Log

I have the following electronics:
Motor: Turnigy 2826 1400kv
ESC: Turnigy Plush 40A
Batteries:
2x Turnigy Nanotech 950mah 25-50C
2x Turnigy 2200mah 20C

I wanted to build a plane using Coroplast that could fly with the 2826 motor and carry the 2200mah battery.

So, thanks to Sanjay Rai Sir and Girish Sir, I decided to make a 90% AviSpad.

Proposed dimensions:
Wingspan:            42 inches
Chord:                 9 - 9.5 inches
Length of Fuse:     33 inches

I want to try and keep the All-Up weight of the plane (including a battery of 180g) to not more than 800g.
I have 3mm and 5mm coro. I plan to build everything using the 3mm coro, except the spar and formers for which I shall use 5mm coro.

I request experienced members to please provide tips regarding how I can keep the weight down.

Will try to post a detailed build log as I go along.

With 2200 mah battery, 2826 motor will be under powder, also with 42 inch wingspan requires more pull, use 2836 motor,

Put the biggest prop the motor can take. A 9*47 or 10*47

Twp strips of 5mm coro cut to make the spar...

Glued the two strips to get the spar for one side of the wing...
Feviquick sucks in everything around it into its stickiness (notice the torn newspaper) like a blackhole  :P

Measuring 2" of dihedral and gluing in place with Hot glue. One drop of hot glue on each side, goes into the flutes of the coroplast and makes a solid joint...

2mm plywood glued on both sides of spar using 5min epoxy for support...

Made the cutouts for the servo.
Glued the spar.
Glued reinforcement to the servo mount (Used ice cream sticks))

Masking the ailerons with clear tape (So that excess cyano doesnt cause it to stick to the top of the wing.

Wing Wrap glued. The wing is now complete.... ;D

Too heavy. The 48" wing with servos, pushrods etc should be 220-240 g
