Nice Amit! such slow and leisurely speed like driving a Impala!
Which plane is that ? YAK/Diabolo/Extra ? How much the LEDs drink the juice ?

Nice :thumbsup:  Any details on the lighting equipment used ?

BTW, in real planes, the green is on the right wing.

The video looks great, I think the material used for light up the plane is similar to attached one.

And useful resource of Night Flying is http://www.rcnightflying.com/

Dreamliner

These tubes basically has a flouriscent material which reacts to give light when bent. Normally, lasts only for 7-8 hours.  Use and throw away types.

Folks,

these are LED strips available at hobbyking, dont have the link handy at the moment. The plane here is a scratch built depron by Mr. Tahlan, the gentleman you see flying it in the video & the LEDs' did not really drain the battery a great deal, as it's an 800 mAH Lipo, & did give 4-5 flights of a similar duration on a charge, guess that's a fair consumption.

Cheers,
Amit :)

Hey DUDE... We need you here too, please can you share your knowledge with guys here...
Well lads these were his replies to all mine and your questions;

Hi Ramesh / Wasi, Please can you advise what set up you are using on the Depron Foamie for night flying. I have been thinking of ordering them from HobbyKing but do not know how manycols or strips will be needed; 2 cols; Left/ right wing + bottom and top seperate cols?? 4 cols minimum or more? Wouldnt it drain the battery??
What would be a complete unit to rig up 1 plane??

Ramesh Tahlan ; Deepak, order 3 white, 1 each of red, green for top, and d1 each of blue and yellow for bottom. each is 1 m long and drains 100 milli amps. so since u will use a total of 4 mts thats 400 ma, while ur motor drans 4 to 8 amps, so dude , the effect on total flyig time is less than a minute and of no concequence. just do it.

Wasi Ansari; Thats loads of light sir...the foamie will look like a shooting star...:)

Deepak Chopra : Why do you say that Wasi?? What is your suggestion?/
If I was to have just 4 different cols on Red top left Blue top right, Yellow bottom left and green bottom right and one white along the fuselage, will that suffice or rudder and fin needs it too?? Ramesh if you have any closeup images of your foamie... you could upload them at RC india and help some guys build a similar...... what say you??

Wasi Ansari mmm....let me put it this way...it depends on you how u want the aircraft to be seen...with aircraft, i feel just 3 colors are good enuf...two distinct colors on the tip and the third one on bottom...dats sufficient for orientation while flying...when i do night flying, the reference is just my view....

Ramesh Tahlan Deepak, no problem, will upload images of night flying flat out, presently i am uploading Wasis super flying video from the Amby Valley show

Deepak; Superb Ramesh, But how do you connect all the lights to the battery? Can you buy a multiple connector?

the Guru ji told me;
"take all the positive wire as one point and all negative wires as one point, and plug them into the plus and minus of the lipo end pins of the balancer connector.
You have to maintain 1 meter length minimum, or u will burn the leds, if u r using 3 cell lipp. If using 2 cell lipo, u can reduce the length by trial and error, but for a 35 inch span flat out u need 3 cell lipos.

That is a low tech yet very practical way of posting a Facebook conversation here :thumbsup:

MAN DID WE HAVE A SCARE with the battery dying over the river-bed and crashing into the side of the river bank!! But 20 mins and 3 grams of rapid-epoxy later we had it up again!!
