I'm making the Red Swan Balsa Kit from RC Bazaar. I'm going to use it as my entry for the sweepstakes  ;D

I had earlier made the J3 Piper Cub from RCB, a similar kit. Althoigh the wood quality & Laser cutting are OK, there is no plan, and ignorable instructions. So it's a lot more fun

Here goes:

First the mandatory date bit  ;)

Started with the fuse. I used a 2627 motor (also from RCB) I had lying around. Of course, the holes in the firewall did not fit  :)

The Instruction Sheet: (Admin: this should qualify as scratch built :))

OK, go ahead and laugh! It happens to everyone

AEROVISHWA

thats happens to all..... i dont know how...but once i managed to epoxy an complete build wing to my pants... relized when i was planning to get up from the chair that the wing which was drying on the epoxy was kept on my lap....  :banghead: :banghead:

Nice kit and good build there.

I am thinking would make a nice model for 1/2 A Glow size.

PS : This is from your competition : "Grrr...... By building a RCB Kit you have taken an edge over us for the PT -20 Ryan. We will surely pitch in with an RCB kit build too to match that Grrr.... "  :giggle:  ;D

sanjayrai55

Yes, it would, e.g. a .049 Cox, or even a Fox 0.10. Only problem is the fuse is very narrow, about 30 mm at engine mount point, and you would need to put long engine bearers in hardwood (e.g. spruce.....a commercial engine mount would not fit)  Of course the Cox engine would not need this, but a sturdy firewall, and some landing gear jugaad to save the prop.

I don't think either of us have to worry about the PT 20, as Sujju is not a judge, only a donor  ;D ;D

Anwar-bhai...I doubt you can be influenced  :giggle:, as you have as kind a heart as Idi Amin - almost  :D

30mm is a sufficient space for a Cox 0.049 as well as for a small fuel tank behind firewall. More so because COX is front firewall mounted unlike on rails. With the wingspan and being a glider would be an ideal model.

PS :  ;D Two youngsters were just challenging their tough competitor sir  :)

I cannot compete against these imaginative, dynamic and hard-working talented youngsters  :( ;)

Some more pics:

The fuse complete with servos, tail feathers complete (craziest vertical stab I've ever built!)

(Please do not notice my big tummy in the pic)

With one Salvo you have silenced your competition and made them your ally.     :hatsoff:

Lol Sandy boss!

Some more pix: Starting the wing now

Nice and complicated! Lots and lots of parts, and no idea where they all go! Negligible instructions, and no plans  ;D ;D

And a fantastic build.
We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.
