Hello all,

This time i wanted to test the extend i can go with thermacol so initially planned 36Inch WS trainer but then added 3 inch on each side of wing which made it 42Inch WS and more like piper wings so thought of making a piper plane.

> wings from hot wire cut 7inch chord leading and trailing edges covered with fevicol and bond paper ( though it would act as a spar but its not that strong for a >40" WS) Planning to go for a aluminium tube as spar ( no CF available)
> tried designing fuse to fit in servos and battery compartment ... first one wasn't good so redid it. re-enforcing it by 1cm Blue foam
> since no design so to have an estimate of look and size using scrap thermacol for dummy tail.

> not thought of motor yet will depend on final weight ( cant even guess)
> though piper has no dihedral but I plan to induce 2deg... any suggestion on this.

Will update as I move on....

Someone I know gave me a valuable tip that I would like to share..

Make a mixture of 50% Fevicol and 50% water...make it liquid..take a normal newspaper, put it in to that and paste that paper on the wings or the entire plane.

When it dries it becomes very hard..

hope this helps..

Nearly  after one year of inception of this scratch built plane piper lookalike and one failure flight due to TX error.

I took it out for Maiden ( for both plane and myself) today i could fly it and land it back on wheels .

Sorry no video but it flew great and could glide well with zero throttle.
