IT'S 9 O'CLOCK.

TIME FOR RESULTS,

Congratulations to Hitesh Kher and SI74 for taking 1st and 2nd places.
1. Hitesh, please send your bank details.
2. SI74, I have your bank details.

So 1st & 2nd prizes are taken. But here's the good news.

9 participants paid entry fee towards the prize kitty, ie, Rs 2250.
Now after 1st & 2nd prizes, Rs 500 is left.

SO THE DATE IS EXTENDED TO 9pm ON SUNDAY 20th Dec, for those who still want to try for the remaining 3rd prize of Rs500, or even to just get their name on the leaderboard!

One more weekend. Best of luck.

Edit:
Remember there's a minimum qualification requirement!

Very happy to be a winner ! and a participant . Had a great time - made me feel so young and filled with enthusiasm. Thanks Iyer sir , Freeflight , Glidiator and others who were involved . I plan to be a sponsor for the next contest (if I am not participating  :) ) with the prize money I got (so that those who participated and lost their money this time can reclaim it if you participate and win in next contest :) ). Regards .

WeekendFlyer

Congratulations to the winners
Good to know that third prize has been extended upto Sunday

@KK Iyer: Sir, thanks for the encouragement

@Weekend flier , you were missing in the WhatsApp group where the contestants discussed their problems , doubts etc , which helped Hitesh to excel . Like me , you are stuck on a small ground , so better look up on google map satellite imagery for a nearby field ! Good luck !

:salute: Congratulations guys. Wonderful job on your first CLG.  hope you keep it up and I am sure that in time you will cross the max (120 seconds) ,

Wish you guys all the best and now you can train your club members too so that they can enjoy the flights of CLG or HLG.

It has been a privilege to come to know all of you. I have to say "Thank You" The good questions you asked made me think a lot in different ways and cleared a lot of my own concepts. So Thank You again.

SI74

@Freeflight , you were the best mentor , took pains to detail every step , even to make a video of the correct techniques that should be followed , which was very useful for us . The links you posted too were very useful . Thanks for your encouragement on every step , every failure and praises for our success .Its too good to have a mentor like you ! Thank you so much sir ..

Free Flight

S174: thank you for the kind words. You are very welcome. I enjoyed to come to know you in the thread.

Keep on going, not so much to win a contest, which is fun of course, but to watch your model catch a thermal and lazily glide around. No motor, no gas, no noise, no special model airports, yet a lot of fun that that tries your ability to think things through and then EXCEL.

Hitesh, Great job. Two flights close to 40 seconds. From both your videos your launch and transition are perfect. So your Launch and bank angle are absolutely correct. to hit the 40 seconds, may I suggest that you put a very small tiny amount of clay on the nose. This will remove the slight stall in the glide phase. Your glider will fly with authority versus too floaty and banging in the wind at times. Try it.
Let us know.

To everyone: My offer still stands . Hit 40 second flights, three in a row, all on the same day. Till 9 PM next Sunday night , same times.

So do not be shy. Give it a shot, winners, runners-up, those to still optimizing , everyone.

It has been a pleasure to see everyone's video and how you guys managed the struggles. Thanks for giving me a small part in it. It is your hard work!

I agree.  FreeFlight has been a very good mentor.  Also, KK Iyer Sir has encouraged us all by starting such a contest.   :hatsoff: {:)}
This is my first CLG and the amount of knowledge I got throughout the process is just amazing.
Glide Test / Trimming, launching, transition and finally the glide - so much has been learnt.

After all this, it can be said that making a chuckglider fly smoothly is not a child's play.

hiteshkher

Thank you sir i will try for more flying time..
