We are very happy to annouce the RC India 2K Sweepstakes ! The winner will be chosen from among the people who post the next 1000 posts on this forum, which are posts 1001 to 2000 (hence the name 2K sweepstakes!).

The winner will receive a full set of Futaba 6EXAP 72Mhz Mode 2 transmitter (with 5 Futaba standard servos, receiver battery, charger, and a PPM receiver)    The charger is rated at 110V, so you will need to use a regulator.  

If any hobby reseller is interested in sponsoring, please let me know via PM/email.  As a payback, sponsors will have a higher percent of free ads display on this forum. I have already procured the item.  It is not brand new, but it has hardly been used.  Please PM me for details of the actual cost of sponsoring this item.  You may choose to sponsor a percent of the cost (like 50% or 25%).

Again, if you have any used items in good condition that you would like to donate towards upcoming sweepstakes, please let us know.

Please spread the word !

Note that we will pick the winner as a number between 1001 and 2000, and the person who made that post will be the winner. So the more you are active on the forum, the better your chances for winning !  



Rules :

1) RC India's decision will be final on all matters related to this sweepstakes.

2) The winner will be chosen from among posts 1001 though 2000. A number between 1001 and 2000 will be randomly picked, and whoever made that post will be chosen the winner (subject to rest of the rules mentioned here). The draw will be done as soon as we hit 2000 posts in total.

3) India RC administrator(s) and all hobby shops are excluded from the draw.  If their post comes up as the winner, the draw will be repeated until a suitable winner is found.

4) The winner details will be published here, and the item will be shipped via courier to the address provided by the winner.

Sure    The idea is for people to get more active on the forum.  But the activity should *mostly* be significant/serious    I guess that means posts containing smilies only are not really encouraged

Dear Anwar,

How about if a forum is provided for Free Items in this RC India.org, just like that of RC groups? 'Coz I 've seen so many who are passionate towards this hobby but not in a good situation to buy them. So, by providing forum for free items, one can provide a chance to get some used stuff, for just shipping within our country!

How about this idea!

In fact the description of this (http://www.rcindia.org/free-donations-and-sweepstakes/) section itself is "If you wish to offer something for free, this is the place to announce it".  This means that anyone who has anything to offer to others for free, they can just announce it here.

The fact that you have made such a great forum in such a short time is in itself great .
The fact that you have allowed so much freedom itself is great .

I think  the rate at which sweep stake targets are being  swept aside in itself is clear  proof of the popularity of this forum so much so that rules are now being relaxed elsewhere to hang on to members  .

I think this in itself is a big help Anwar , hence I will suggest changing this sweep stake to 5K instead of 2 K  as the price of the futaba is something that will put  avoidable financial pressure on you .

I am sure majority of the members will agree to this

And yes Sai, I do see interesting things elsewhere    People are not getting rebuked for splitting hobbycity.com into "h obbycity dot com", and the "http://is.gd" link is still alive as of writing this.  I am glad competition is bringing welcome changes
