1. 10- 12 min is not less, that's quite good in fact

2. all these volitation stuff IMHO doesn't fall in the category of RC Heli, it is more like a toy for small kids, i bought one from hellyflyer (Amit) for my son, it precisely lasted for 3 flights, the blade came off the the hub in the third flight, Amit could not give / denied after sale support, waste of money, serious heli-wannabe-flier should definitely look at better options

Yes, and while purchasing any helly, always check the cost of spare parts and supply availability too. That is more important if you are going into heli due to lack of fields inside city.
We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

Have had a similar, none too happy, experience with a GT5888 from the same source. This was faulty from the start. Then claimed it had now been "used".

Look at better options on both: product and seller.

I would Kindly

requst the Admin / moderator  to take the comment from Mr. Sushil Anand off the forum (and this one too ) before I make this a messy/ entertainment  topic for every one to read, I don't have the time or the energy to do so and I would like to contribute to this community going forward.

I don't want to make any further comments for people who are not aware on how to use the latest technology and especialy for people who have nothing better/productive to do After receiving a REFUND from the same SELLER.

I still stand beside my Products they are good and are available at best price possible, Spares are available on every other online store and come without any custom hassles then why would I be a fool to stock the same.  :giggle:

9053 Volitation is a Good beginners heli.

I don't want to take sides here. I would just like to share my experiences with Amit over the last 2 years or so.

Volitation, Overlord, GT 8004, GT 8005, GT 5889 (2 pcs), and one or two more that I can't recall. I have bought all the above from Amit / Hellyflyer and found them to be brand new in all respects. With the exception of one 5889, all of them performed as expected.

Whilst the seller may not be able to supply spares, Amit has more than made up for it with his outstanding after sales support.

Amit, thanks for the invaluable inputs and supportive calls during the build of my HK 450 V2. Without your and Sujju Bhai's guidance and support, it wouldn't have been possible to 'restore' this model. ;)

IMHO, someone needs to start stocking spares for these 'toy class' helis. There seems to be a HUGE market waiting to be tapped. Blades, flybars, main gear, tail blades and canopies are easily broken. The sheer hassle of importing these cheap items from online sellers often deters beginners from progressing in this hobby.

To clarify, I did not say it was used. When I suggested a replacement, I was told that it was now a "used" item.

Just extreme "bad luck" in terms of product and attitude for Gusty and myself, maybe? And then again.......

i did try to buy the part online on suggestion from Amit, since he said he only sells heli, no spare / after sale support possible , the clasp that holds the main rotor was costing 27 $ + Shipping on ebay , the landing cost was close to approx 40 $ + , . everyone must know this that is the reason it was posted. As a response to Parth's observation on the Heli.

Albeit Amit is very good to talk to, he tracked my shipping till it reached me, got after the courier company and pulled them up for the delay etc, notwithstanding his honest effort of trying to deliver a product which he still thinks is good. Amit, i am sorry, in fact it is not, if anyone has got a good piece , lucky , Three of us (Sushil Sir, Parth & I)  have got a bad piece, let us face it, it is Cheap Charlie Chinese Stuff, (IMHO) 3.5 Gs down the drain.

Amit

Is this statement right ? if you are doing business through this forum, selling toy helis, if you have some spares for the same (You know through experience which of the items are fast moving / Often breaking one), that much more will your business grow and you will have a place like VK & Anam for yourself. At the moment sad to say, i am once bitten twice shy , because, your email was Curt and to the point, Sorry Boss, Spare ??? Fend for yourself. Here is the mail, you had sent

"I checked with my importer and he says that it would be eaiser to buy the spares directly from the sites which stock them like toysexpress, etc. So I would recommed that you buy it directly from the site."

Now
While i am fully supportive of your efforts and i would strongly urge you to take note my observations positively and implore you to do something about it, like keeping spares, providing support etc. imagine, you buy something for 3500 :Rs: on the third flight the blade flies off because the grip gives way, i agree, you are not obliged to help me out , however, shouldn't you give it a try, an honest try ?. That is my point.

Lastly
Take it or leave it, it is entirely upto you.

PS
plese tell me if i am factually wrong anywhere

Could not agree with you more.

I do not know about the Volitation 3.5 but the 4  is available on e Bay India for 1,699.

And VC. Out of sheer curiosity, what happened to  the "one 5889"?

Sushil Sir,

Thanks to the callous couriers, the Tx was badly damaged in transit. The carton was squashed from a side and both the sticks were broken and the return springs had been dislocated. The head of the Heli also seemed to have been impacted somewhat. It is now however repaired and performs well. Posting 2 pics of it flying end Sept. 2011.

There is a funny anecdote here. Someone tried to fix the Tx and took it apart. He got the springs back alright but messed up the pot connections. Elevator pot connection went into the Aileron socket and vice versa! You can imagine trying to fly it after that...... :banghead:  :giggle:

Regards.
