If it is legal is it allowed in city limits?
If not what special permission is required and from whom?

ashimda

Even if they are legal which I doubt, launching a sugar rocket in the city limits is DANGEROUS.
An open area of at least 3 Square kilometers would be a safer bet.

Thanks ashimda. But I would like to know if it is legal.

And would it be dangerous even if I add a parachute in the rocket?

I also want to do that.
I even have my rocket shells ready. Will some time get pottasium nitrate and stump remover to make engines. Ill launch these somewhere out of city. Maybe in sector 29 ggn.

Adding a parachute is a must, but ensuring that it deploys at apogee or at all, is what makes it risky.

I've prepared a few casings too, but couldn't get permission to prepare R-candy at home. Stump remover is mostly potassium nitrate so you will not need both of these. How are you planning to make the R-candy?

i have found another way:

potassium nitrate is available on ebay.in
http://www.ebay.in/itm/Potassium-nitrate-1000-grams-reagent-grade-npk-13-0-45-/152003636033?hash=item23641f6b41:g:fU0AAOSwqu9VM-AY
kitty litter on amazon (i am sure you can find that on your own)
and sugar at home.
BTW; who did you ask permission from?

I do not think that there are any laws for that.
They are just glorified diwali rockets.

In my system;
12 volts flow through a Nicrome wire @ 5 amps
The wire get red hot and ignites the match head.
