Now this is a really good entry level option. I wish one of the hobby stores can track down the original manufacturer and import these in bulk, like Sai did a while ago for some workshop.

Now this is great. Only thing i missed in old 6ch hobbycity is the missing reverse switch and dint buy it. I was more than satisfied with the 4ch 2.4gh which I currently have. Not even a single glitch in a number of flights which I have done since one year. I have even used it with the glider where i can barely see the model itself.
Was planning for a turnigy only because the 6ch doesnt have the reverse channel switch, now will wait for reviews from other ppl.

At double this price (which is around :Rs: 1200), the Turnigy 9 Channel Computer Radio is much, much better option considering it provides almost all the programming facilities oferred by much costlier OEM Radios

I dont think it takes much time for a beginner to crave for Model memory, 3-4 essential mixes and most importantly Servo reverse. Its stupid to carry a laptop to field to do these things using computer, like  the 6Channel HK Tx is supposed to be programmed.

$23 Vs $53 .... the difference in price is not so much.

Hmm I am considering turnigy as a low cost transmitter for my fpv, the remaining money I can invest in eagletree osd with rth as failsafe.
But if Hobbycity comes with a 9ch transmitter with model memory and computer programming I would grab it

Dear Praveen,

1. Do you have HobbyKing HK6DF 2.4Ghz FHSS 6Ch Tx & Rx (Mode 2) in stock??
2. Does the price(3500/-) include PC cable for programming??
3. Can I run a simulator with this Tx?
3. What kind of battery it is having?? And is a charger included??(Am I asking too much?? ;))
4. How much an extra compatible Rx will cost??

Regards

frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) It is good because you get very little to no interference.

It has a PS2 Trainer Port and it has 6-channel 2.4GHz transmitter with servo reversing & elevon mixing.

rx available separately

8xAA batt, i think, charger you'll have to buy, what i do is, i have one more set charged and ready, and i swap, easier that way

Thanks Augustine,

I could understand the trainer port. But can I connect it to PC and practice on a simulator??

Praveen, do you plan to stock Turnigy 9X 9Ch, this is a 9Ch and is similar is price to HK-7X 2.4Ghz 7ch

if you ask me honestly. you will soon feel the need to move on from this Tx Rx, this is a entry level stuff. Praveen has Futab 6EX (http://flying--rc.blogspot.com/2011/03/futaba-6ex-6-channel-24ghz.html) with orange rx combo, that is the deal , if i were you i will be looking at, of course for a given budget this is not bad, Expo, throttle curve etc, you will realize , you will need over a period of time, As regards Turnigy radio it s a Hot Cake, it goes into backorder within hours of arrival. I waited for 3  months for a radio and 5 Rx.

Website review says PS2, Once again, this is a stop gap arrangement / fixed to a model/ model types of model radio. Cheap and Best.  like, i only use my trusted Skysport for my scratch built, because i am used to its feel more than any other radio and i trust in that radio, however if i use skysport on my heli i will be a fool, that's what i meant, For me personally the major advantage being a slider trimmer, gr8 for banner towing, especially after you drop the banner, slider goes to its known location without looking down at the trim indicator.
