These are the innovative creations that add real value to the forum. I salute you. :salute:

Please post in detail and a longer video will be appreciated. What was the most difficult part of this project? Did you cannibalise the electrics from an IR Heli?
Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional!

Swapnil

+1 VC sir.

I guess this is the first home-built mono on this forum.
Simply amazing!  :bow:  {:)}

That's an exotic bird! Please do post a build log so that we can put to use those old Chinese helis (just sitting in a showcase).

thanks to all :hatsoff:

In this flier, stabilizing is difficult task. want to stabilize both lateral and longitudinal
cg should be at center.
lets try it in home

main parts are
2mm balsa sheet
1mm carbon rod
IR tx

How do u control the horizontal movements ? :headscratch:
I can take off and fly well. Its landing which sucks :banghead::banghead:

satz flying

@ abhay1290 i didn't get???

I think Abhay wants to know if it can be moved forward/ backward & left/ right like a heli.

Sathish, are you guys planning to develop a bigger mono with greater stability? 'Cos that would be even more cool!

satz flying

Ya got the thing.
actually now i have only one channel i.e throttle. In that, can't do fly in all directions and only hovering is possible.

To fly in all axes, we have to place a on-board system. And I'm going to try . . .

will see ?

thanks swapnil...
sathish, i am only in fixed-wingers.. so just wanted to know the method to steer this type of little monsters...
googled a bit, but could not find any satisfactory, but found it:

I like the way onboard camera works in the above link..
I can take off and fly well. Its landing which sucks :banghead::banghead:

ya , many mono-copters are there like this. But no one didn't mention deeply about full control.

There should be a magnetometer on board gives us a magnetic north reference so we can use the small flap to actively change the angle-of-attack during part of the cycle on the wing, and that changes the lateral direction.

It is very crazy, peculiar flier and cannot manned to survival that's why, there is no revolution developed in the mono-copter.
but the things are changing nowadays.

thinking to start learn about on board system ! ! wanna do big flier
