Dear All,

I have almost completed assembling Shikra glider. Some how I will manage pepsi bottle canopy also. But I am a miserable failure to make motor mount. I have tried to trim and fit slowstick mount-a failure. Then a plywood mount-it was shaky on the plane. I tried to put the motor on drug bottle lids, hurting myself many times. Most likely I lack the skills to make one fitting.

I humbly and desperately request everyone to guide me where I can get the shikra (or its originals) motor mount. If someone can give me one, he will have his name on the plane.

Please  :help: :help:

Vishwas

EDIT: I am a senior member of the forum without ever getting above the ground. At least have mercy with my designation.

My next plane will be a true ARF. Not like this one....

Dear Sai Sir,

Please  :help: :help: I once specifically ordered the motor mount(2 nos) for shikra from you. But it seems  you dont stock them. So you sent next best available ie GWS mount. If you now stock or source shikra mount please let me know at the earliest.

OK, I am able to make a mount from a bottle cap. Pics posted. Please tell me if the angle is correct. The CG is roughly in the middle of wing. I am also posting other pictures. Please let me know if everything is alright. My apologies for poor quality of photos.

Moderator,

I wrongly posted this in a 'wanted' thread. Please move previous message to appropriate thread on build log on shikra glider.

Thanks.

Too Nose down, undesirable pitch changes with throttle is envisaged, be gentle with the throttle especially when going around.

A Good pilot will practice until he gets it right,
A Great pilot will practice until he can't get it wrong.

Dear rcpilotacro,

Thanks for your reply. As this is posted in a 'wanted' thread, I am locking this thread. But I will ask you my question in another thread on Shikra glider. Please respond.
