Guys I m using a S500 quad frame with  Sunnysky 2216 900kv motors and 10X4.5 with 30 amp esc...  So I need a good flight time.....  I MA confused which  lipo to buy...... Of 11.1v      can any help me in choosing???

prabal276

flight time is directly proportional to the mah rating.
good fl. Time therefores require much more mah rating

prabal276

Depends on how much weight ur quad can carry.
according to me weight increases directly with mah. There should be a balance between the two.

Friend you ordered a TX Li-Po battery with 8C discharge rate. Is it really what you wanted?

You can choose a 5000mAh 3S Lipo battery, if you want to flight faster, you can buy a high discharge rate battery; to improve your quad flight time, you'd better to find high capacity with light weight battery, there is a 5000mAh 3S Lipo , you can have a try.

11.1v 3S lipo will be a good choice. mAh depends on your requirement ideally 2200 mAh will also do and it wont be that expensive.

Check your motor thrust data , try to make a efficiency chart at various thrust points , (for eg miniquadtestbench.com )
Try to locate highest thrust /highest g/W , by this I mean locate the point where the motors produce the highest thrust with minimum power inputs. And then you'll get a weight point. Minus the gear weight and get the payload weight , calculate the battery capacity according to the payload weight.
This is all a tricky process , and does not accounts any wind.  Also this will help in getting max HOVER TIME , actual flight time varies with cruising and wind etc

Hi

You should buy 11.1V 2200mah lipos from rcbazaar. They are the best for 450 sized quad.
