Hello fellas
i had my turnigy 2s/3s charger burnt.

The damage was just in primary circuit, i.e the SMPS power supply. I got it repaired from nearby TV repair shop. The repair required the capacitor, 4 diodes.
After it got repaired, i found that he had removed the inductor coil and havent replaced it. instead he just bridged the terminals.
The charger is working fine. Just wanna ask whether its safe to use the charger without that inductor coil?
I *think* that the inductor was a Power Factor correction inductor so no, it would not make any difference to you. The power supply would most likely be safe for you to use.
The inductor is necessary for power supply filtering and but you will not feel any difference without it....but the fuse is necessary for safety so that it does not trip your house supply...
what happened in thee first place that it burnt.
if we know what had happened others can avoid such incidents in the first place. :salute:
