Can life battery be charged using a 2, 3cell basic lipo charger

Nope . It can't be charged using a lipo charger .

Thanks another question is, can I insert life battery into transmitter and connect an ac to dc adapter to the transmitter to charge it.i have have heard that they are almost like nimh battery.

The life battery voltage is 9.9v and not 11.1v as a normal 3s lipo
So that each cell should be balanced to a 3.3v basic..
Whare a normal charger or a basic 2-3s lipo charger cannot provide such kind of balancing features..
Hence you need a programmable charger to do the job..
Another way is that you can use a 11.1v lipo as tx pack
note: the c rating should be 1c to 8c for safety...

But still recommended that use LiFe packs as they survives more .
Lipo dies faster . Once you forgot to switch off your transmitter and your lipo is gone

Please charge the Life battery seperately using the correct LiFe charger. It should not be charged using the ac dc charger that comes with the transmitter.
