Title: charging Lipo batteries on the rc field...Will appreciate some info..
Post by: murcielago on January 03, 2014, 07:35:03 PM
Hi,

Just want to see how r u guys charging lipo batteries on the field.

I am looking for a proper charging setup which can manage 6s to 8s lipo from any where 4000 to 5500mah...
I should be able to charge 4 to 6 6s 4000mah packs in parallel.

Which deep cycle batteries are you using? Can anyone guide me into the deep cycle industrial batteries available from Exide etc.

Also, if any of you have an access to used server power supplies it will be great for other rc flers here.

Regards

Hi Girish,

Nice to hear from you....

Which batteries (Mah) do you charge in parallel?

I need to charge 4000mah n 5000 mah batteries in field. So, need deep cycle batteries around 130AH or so. My charger is PL8 so need two batteries in series to give 24 volts.

I do know Exide makes industrial batteries for fork lifts etc but dont know any specific model. So, wanted to know if anyone has a field setup for the above.

Also, if you know someone who can supply used server power units like HP DPS 600 pb, it will be great. Nehru place is a good place i know but anyone can cheat u if ur not sure of the  seller.

Regards

Doc
