I am very new to this forum and to RC modelling. My friends and I are planning to make an RC electric plane. I went through various online stores, which are mentioned in here for buy the components. The same component is available in different stores and are of different make. I was wondering how the components are chosen and which shops to buy from? Since there are so many online stores, are there any websites or forums which can give a price, review comparison?

The selection of electronics mainly depends on your model, If you are just starting out with a plane, and you haven't fixed a plan yet, you have to do that first, before going for electronics like motor, ESC, Servos, and LiPo .
But you can buy a Transmitter and 9g servos first, As the Transmitter is a big Investment, you should be well planned while buying one.
And this also depends on your Budget, Share more details on your Build and plans, you will get more help for sure :)

Yes, we do not have a concrete plan yet. All that have in mind is to build is an single motor RC controlled plane with freedom of movement in 3 axes. Our budget is around 10-15k. That's the reason we were searching for some basic designs, which can be implemented quite easily and also the reason we were looking for the prices of components online and what is the general practice in RC community while selecting a component.
Also what are the specifications that have to be consolidated before starting to build one?

Ok so your budget is 15k.
You can get,
A flysky th9x radio 6k.
Emax Cf2822 motor 500rs.
Flyline 20a esc from rcdhamaka 700rs.
Vector-rc trainer 2k
IMAX b6 charger 1.5k
Power adapter 750rs.
Batteries 2 1800mah 3s Lipo 800each.
Props 3 8*4.7 100each.
Comes to around 13k.
First of all you have to select a beginner friendly plan - I am not qualified to suggest one as I am not in to planes yet .
Make your model from any easy to work material, (Experienced people says Depron is best suited for beginners) - measure your model weight - Try to make it as light as possible.
Now based on your model weight and required Flight characteristics, you can select your Power system (Motor+ESC+LiPo) .
Before all these , you can buy a Radio - If you are ok on spending a little bit on radio, you can go for 9Ch ones, but if you plan to just fun flying and is not in to FPV or multirotors in Near future, a 4Ch or 6Ch radio is Enough for you .
Also the general price list rcrcnitesh have posted contain electronics that suits most beginner friendly trainer plans.

@Sooraj: Thanks again for your inputs. Infact I was planning to buy a 6Ch radio and realflight simulator to start with. I can progress to 9Ch once I have enough experience. Also I will look into Depron and other materials. As you mentioned about choosing of electronics based on the design, are there any standard rule of thumb or formulae that are used as guideline to decide the electronics?
Yes for beginner friendly trainers, the power system chose is at 1:1 thrust , I mean if your model AUW comes 500Gm, your motor should be providing approx. 500Gm thrust.
The Emax motors suggested by Nitesh works well for most beginner trainers Also It is cheap.
If you are planning to get 6Ch, a fLYSKY fs-t6 is good option.
You may also consider RCB7x or 6i
