Hi guys!

I wish to know from where I can get 4S 5000mah LiPo pack in india?
I am hearing that LiPos cannot be shipped by air from international locations.
Other means of delivery will take months!

Thanks in advance
Prashant

Hello Prashant

Sphere Hobbies would get the supply of lipo batteries in a week. We would have from 2200mah to 6600mah. You might like to check our web site after couple of days. Alternatively, give us a call and tell us your specific requirement of lipo battery and we shall help you select one for the purpose.

Good luck.

Great! ! looking forward for ThunderPower  .. Its a million times better n long lasting than hobbyking n other chinese garbage, which ppl buy in bulk n crib about it all day on forum. And then they put it up for sale.
Presently these are the top grade batteries available in international market and worth every penny.
IMHO its better to keep few good electronics than to keep a bulk of chinese rubbish. It will cost u the same anyways.

I get all my batteries from hobbyking and am yet to face any problem with customs. You can use "Turnigy Nano-tech" batteries as they are quite good. Just keep the total order value (including shipping) below $40.
But if you are just gonna get the battery then it is worth paying the extra premium and getting it from an LHS.
It is the pervading law of all things organic and inorganic,
Of all things physical and metaphysical,
Of all things human and all things super-human,
Of all true manifestations of the head,
Of the heart, of the soul,
That the life is recognizable in its expression,
That form ever follows function. This is the law.

@Lastrites: I have used nano techs.. Hmmm Its better than rest other what HK sells but you shud try brands Yuntang from singahobbies n thunderpower you will surely change your opinion... By the way have you tried any other batteries apart from HK?.. Please give a shot its worth it.
I have tried alot batteries from various LHS .. They all are cheap grade batteries to suit the Indian market.. Its not their fault either coz ppl want everything cheap.. So why to expect quality n longitivity from them..
Believe it or not i get 15mins on a yountang 1500 mah pack 50c.. N i get only 6mins in nano tech 1800mah.. And that it bloats like pregnent cow..
Anyways your money n your choice.

Shadman ,
What you have said is true to an extent , I have used Thunderpower in fact I have 2 of these , one of them is also swollen as you describe the other is fine .
On the other hand I have a few Desire Power batteries that I am using for the past 2.5 years or so and they are going fine even today.
As a LHS I have the following observations having been around this business for over 5 years now :
1) In China you have good suppliers and crappy suppliers we have been able to understand the better ones over the past and now deal only with the best around , we have had our lousy experiences in the past few years , which has taught us whom to trust , it is only due to this that we offer a Warranty on the batteries we sell.
In fact What Shadman says is sad but true many quality Chinese suppliers are surprised when Indian's talk to them about quality and warranty they consider India to be a price consious market which is true to a large extent
2) The battery is the the most critical component in the case of electric RC as it is the one that powers up both the Power and the Control System in most cases , hence I never ever compromise on it .
If the battery fails you will have nither power nor control of your plane.

So in short look for quality Batteries irrespective of the Brand.
From my experience Desire Power , Genace , Youtang etc are some of the good ones.

No offence but i have tried alot of batteries from various LHSs.Nothing beats yuntang n TP. I havent tried Desire Power and as u say they are great and comes with waranty im sure they must be  good.I have high regard for rcforall for their efforts in promoting the hobby and offering quality products.
I m surprised u have TP swollen up thats rare.. With all due respect.. That usually happens when are running a low discharge battery on high current demand setup or on impact or bad charger. So I will always stand by TPs n Yuntangs when it comes to batteries.Cant compare iphone with thai phone ryt?
Most of the LHS are getting batteries n electronics rebranded .. I feel it only confuses the customer who has had a bad experience with their electronics... Its difficult to pick out which ones are worse. It wud be  better that LHSs stick to reputed brands, for customer satisfaction. Im not pointing out any LHS in particular.

An Interesting link to understand the brands better :

Check out the test report by Wayne Giles that is the one to read at this link , I guess his test results of the Turnigy Nano and Rihno are quite interesting especially about their rated/claimed  discharge capacity .
