I am for sure that LiPOs are being manufactured in India and being sold to us by Hobby King and others under their brand name.... Has anyone come across some manufacturers.... I came across a guy on one flight a few weeks ago... he uses LiPOs for his office needs... (not sure what)... He buys them from a manufacturer in Pune and Bangalore.... He was to call me... but well its history now...

Can someone please confirm about this issue and let us know... I am sure it will be a hell cheaper to buy it from an Indian producer then run to HK or others.... and keep waiting for it to arrive.....

Waiting from someone to shed some light on this....

I have talked to few of them, they all import the lipos.
No one who manufactures here itself.
Russ-40 Trainer, Mr.moss, Pushler, Skysurfer, Mugi , F-22, Red swan, Xtra-300, redfury, flying mantaray.

I have contacted most of the vendors here... a few actually make LiPO batteries in India but they make only for bulk orders and can give quotations on receipt of a bulk order inquiry.  Guess that should be cheaper if someone is buying in bulk to supply to us aeromodellers.... or else they are simply importing and selling and charging  the sky for that.....  Well.... it's a sellers world out here and not the buyers......

There is a lot of difference between normal lipos and lipos specifically for RC applications. Most vendors you see here might have low discharge lipos that may be unsuitable for RC applications. If you search, you may come across many manufacturers who may offer you cheap lipos but after a few cycles, you'll repent for buying them.

Spoke to may of them... they know of the requirements of RC model flying... and are promising up to 500 to 100 recharge cycles..... but can supply only in bulk of 500 pieces... Yes they can supply Li Ion batteries which will not be of much use....

That's good news Shobhit. Just ask them about the following parameters, say for a typical 3s 2200 mah 20c battery:

1. Nominal discharge rate/burst discharge rate
2. Max charge rate
3. Internal resistance of entire pack/individual cells

Lets see if they are promising enough.

as far as Rajmane is concern i cannot see LiPO batteries.they only have Li-Ion batteries pack. any manufacture in indiamart for lipo is importing those batteries. but those are good for Tx and not suitable for flying purpose due to low C ratings.
Fly high if you have good set of batteries.....!
