Guys I've tried charging my lipo 11.1v 3s 1000mah lipo with the Turingy balance charger and after 4 hrs..its still in Red there is no green led being displayed.!?!?!
What can be the problem...The adapter specs are in the pic..

@kittuk4 according to the pic, adapter output is only 2A. Don't you need a 5A ?

kittuk4

No...but i connected it to the receiver after 4 hrs of charging and there is no power

kittuk4

Exactly... The receiver is not getting any power...

Did you test plugging in any other lipos other than this one?

if you have a voltmeter check the voltage if it increasing or not...
the charger's output is 0.8 A...so it should take 2 hrs to charger a 1A pack..(4 hours is ridiculously long!)

Plus such chargers have inbuilt cut-off timer and is suited for charging batteries of capacity less than or equal 0.8A..so try switching it off after one hour and switching it on again(but before doing it check the battery's voltage!)...that should sort it out!  :hatsoff:

The charger needs an input of 12v.. The current rating is not mentioned anywhere... Charged the battery for 4 hrs..and after connecting it to the receiver the receiver led is not blinking.. So assuming the battery hasn't been charged... And obly the red led on the charger keeps blinking.. No green

Himadri Roy

If the led is blinking it means its balancing the lipo CHECK THE BATTERY"S VOLTAGE WITH A MULTIMETER!

The Red led indicates that the charger is receiving the input voltage.  :-\

Himadri Roy

Man there are two LEDs on the charger would it be possible for you to clearly mention which led is solid and which is blinking?
A blinking led means it is balancing the lipo
A solid red led indicates its charging
A solid green led indicates its charged!

So before doing anything first check your battery's voltage using voltmeter..and follow the steps
