One day when i was trying to charge a small capacity 2s 7.4volt 800 mah battery with it , i saw leds go brown and within second i observed magic smoke.
When i opened to see what happened to my surprise 2 of the 3 smd 6leg chip burned. I am helpless at the moment as i couldnt find these chips . This was 3-4 months back now i dont know how to charge my new 3s as its showing 11.73 volts.
What should i do ?
Simple:
Buy a new carger
Thanks but i want to repair it
save that for later, i know that u love doing stuff like that but desperate times need desperate measures.... get an intelligent charger :D really good investment and suits all ur battery needs! faster charge rates etc etc...
What bout imax b6
buy an original imax b6
At rcmumbai its for 2k the cheapest original i know of... There is a guy who is claiming to sell oem version for little lower... But ill suggest go for b6 from RCM.. It soon runs out of stock
2k expensive .
What bout the 1700 rs from ebay lhs
its a one time investment like your radio, u have got to take some expense to it... may blow ur money but u wont have to buy it again for a long time!
Got it sir will go for the oem

what it is ?
Is it useful ?
its a glorified charger controller,
http://www.helipal.com/skyrc-wi-fi-extension-module.html
basically, it connects to a specific charger and tells it what to charge it as and battery position.
Thanks
would a clone from www.robu.in okay to buy ?
Please consider that i will only charge <1500 mah batteries.
BUT
My friend had a clone and the battery voltage displays were off by almost 0.1- 0.3 Volts.
If thats okay; you may buy it
Was it a new or old / second hand
new
okay but my budget permits for a clone only . I wil upgrade the clone's voltage detection area with high quality low tolerance resistor and try to upgrade the firmware.
by the way whats writtenn on your profile in foriegn language ?
That's Russian.
I love that language and am trying to learn it.( only caught up with the alphabets yet)
now;
поезд любитель- Train lover ;D
аэрофлот- Aeroflot Airlines
ТУ 144 кабины- Tu 144
( My profile image is the cockpit of a aeroflot Tu -144 SST)
But thats a flopped concord copy.
NOT a FLOPPED concorde copy.
read about it and then say.
By the time the TU 144 entered sercvice; the hype for sst flight was long gone because of the crashes of the concorde. Thats why the tupolev 144 did not gain much popularity. It was used by NASA to train astronauts and ussr to transport cargo long after the death of the concorde.
there are even a lot of structural doffrences. The 144 looks much more beautiful.
Regards
The new generation always have advantage to learn from previous generation's faliures and backs

Same problem with me. My B3AC charger's IC burned after a sudden spark when plugged to AC mains. Does this charger has a lifespan of only 5-6 months ?
A recent update on the ancient B3 AC,
I found someone selling a non-functioning B3AC, which i bought. my surprise the same 6 pin SMD part was burnt, and obvious enough, I transplant the chip from the bought Defunct unit to my previous Defunct B3AC, and it worked, but as i was warned some 6 years back by Satya Sir and others, it's a very inaccurate charger, after putting it to test, by charging a 1250mAh 3S pack.
After an 50 or so minutes, it lit all LEDS Green.
And the end voltages were 4.17, 4.19 4.21.
These numbers says enough.
My primary though was, it's never promised to be precise with balancing, and that Pack isn't New either.
So i discharged the pack in some following days, and charged with a Imax B6 running CHeali Firmware, the voltages after a 29 minute charge, were 4.19 4.19 4.20
So simply the charger is very sensitive to either voltage fluctuations or those tiny SMD aren't designed in that circuitry to last.
My small conclusion is, avoid it if you're in Hobby for long, thought for charging 2s of Toys, it's perfectly acceptable.
