Have a Turningy 1450 3s 11.1v Tx Lipo.

Had been using for few hrs on my HK Tx.
Now for the first recharge I have taken out and the reading is as below.
Cell1: 2.74
Cell2: 3.16
Cell3: 3.04

Total: ~9

Accucell charger detects as 2 cell.

What has gone wrong here ?
Can this be set right ?

Ok did a slow charge at 0.1A and all seems fine now.

Guess, I must not run for so long on the Tx.

Any other pointers anyone ?
How long do you use you pack on Tx..

Try setting the charger to nimh and tickle charge it with 1mah. Dont do it continuously. Charge for 2 min and check if it gets puffed up and again repeat the cycle. If you are lucky the cell1 voltage will raise above 3v . Later change the mode to lipo and charge.

Usually you should have a protective circuit..diode etc not to allow the cell voltage to drain out..

Yes I did the Trickle charge in Lipo mode (0.1A) for some time till the Cell count was restored.
Now charing at 50% of mAH val.

I guess I totally depended on the Led indicators on the Tx.

Could you tell me more about the protective ckt.

Drone,

Your cell are not balanced. i. e. cell1 have much lower and then cell3 and then the cell2.
All you have to do, balance it. If you have the balance charger, just you need another charge (Full charge of all cell) or replacement of faulty charger.

You may try connect the +ve & -ve terminal with the balance charger +ve and -ve terminal keeping the other connectors open. (To fool the circuit and pick up the cell voltage so that the cell voltage goes beyond 10.5 volt). Then charge with balance charger. Make full charge.

You have not give the charger specification. Hope it will be micro-controller controlled.

If all things fails, just charge 3 cell in built-in series with +ve and -ve terminals with separate charger to pick up voltage with 12 Volt DC Adapter. Then Balance charge.

Awaiting for your answer.
We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

If you want the TX alarm to work, use diodes to drop the voltage, that way you will not deplete the lipo to dangerous levels.

The easiest way to "force" a trickle charge if the charger refuses to charge it in lipo mode even with the balance connector disconnected, is to charge it at very low amps as an NiMH.
