Hi guys,

So I came across a couple of these 32650 3.2V Rechargeable 6000mAh LifePO4 Battery Cell recently and am wondering is they can be used in a multirotor setup.

I've already been using NCR18650b cells for a while now in 3S2P and 4S2P  configurations with reasonable results. A 3S2P 6000mah li-ion pack is about 80grams lighter than a 3S 5200 mah phantom 2 battery and gives around 13-15 minutes of hover time with an AUW of 1300gms, which in my opinion is quite decent.

Am wondering if these cells would be feasible in such a use case or not, if anyone around here has any experience with these, please share your knowledge.

Hey Abbas.
You checked it's capacity but you forgot to check it's weight.
I think 18650 battery you are using is approximately 3000mah at 48~50gm where as the lifePO4 battery you posted is double it's capacity and triple it's weight which I think is unsuitable for UAVs
I would suggest 21650 or 26650 li ion which have good density and also low cost.

Energy density of 21650 and 26650 are comparable with those of li ion.

you pointed out the right thing Bala, I didn't consider weight, neither am I able to find the weight of these batteries anywhere.

Any source for these batteries?
