I have built a quad and since it wasn't flying, I began testing each ESC and was calibrating the throttle range, and all that stuff etc.

ESC: Power HD 20A Brushless ESC
Motor: dt700 from HK
LiPo: 3S 3000mAh (Zippy Flightmax)

At first the voltage read some 11.6V. I calibrated the ESC and casually put that single motor on full throttle without prop[/b]. After about 70 seconds, I stopped and checked the voltage. It read 8.19V! I was SHOCKDED!  What's wrong with my LiPo? Please help. ??? ??? ??? (Or would you say this is normal?  :o)

Then, I tried charging it. I only have this cheapest charger on earth: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__7637__Turnigy_balancer_Charger_2S_3S.html

I gave a good 12V DC supply and connected my LiPo using the JST-XH connector given. It charged well at first and then the voltage finally reached some 10.5V. So I tested at full throttle once again (without prop). This time the voltage came down to 8.4V. But when I try to charge it once again, it doesn't charge! WHY! I've checked for all lose contacts, etc, opened the charger and seen, but nothing is damaged apparently. Please help. ??? ??? ???

PS: I searched on this before posting with keywords like "LiPo overdischarge help", "LiPo over discharge", LiPo discharges fast" etc, but couldn't find my answer.

you need to charge it full. 11.6 for a 3s is at not to its full capacity . should be like 12.3 v, this chepaest charger on earth of yours sucks get a good charger, something like this

A Good pilot will practice until he gets it right,
A Great pilot will practice until he can't get it wrong.

Thanks rcpilotacro.
Now, suppose I were to possess a better charger, then what should I do? Should'nt I use my LiPo unless it's charged completely from the next time? Will this save it from discharging that fast? Or anyother problem?  Thanks. :)
