While soldering the lipo wires to a deans connector, the positive and the negative terminal touched each other for a fraction of second by mistake :banghead:. Is the battery spoilt?
It is not puffed up.
It is brand new.

99% of the time, it is not a problem if the contact time is short enough.

If it is showing right voltage then fine. Mine went bad(the terminals burnt/broke) when by mistake I shorted a 3S 1000mah batter for 2 seconds.

A tip for all who make their own connections. Ensure that the "other" wire is insulated while you solder one. After soldering, heat shrink the sleeve on the connection and then solder the second one.

After the soldering is done,
Keep the battery at room temperature for some while and then balance the battery. make sure the polarity of your charge plug leads is same as that on the lipo...

Balancing will eliminate any issues in voltage.
