I read many forums online but still had the doubt that which connector is the best, XT60 or Deans? Which one do you use and what is the reason behind it? Kindly share your views

I use XT60. No such reason but they are more common. So on the field, batteries can be swapped.
Dean's are found on Chinese batteries and are rarely used by people on my field.

XT60 are used in good quality batteries. Gens Ace sends battery with XT60.
1st reason  is negative & positive of male deans is not protected and negative & positive are protected in male XT60.
2nd reason : when i connect battery via XT60 then it is easy because of large area of XT60 where as deans have smaller area

A very imprecise and generally wrong statement. Experience and good knowledge is a prerequisite to give expert advice and guide, or misguide beginners

sanjayrai55

What is most important is the quality of the connectors. Too many fake Dean's and XT's around

taksh

I used connector that is why i comment on this post.
If i said something wrong then say else don't say nothing for my comment.
You think i am not experienced person then you are wrong.
I don't have right to comment??

sanjayrai55

There is no need to get aggressive and rude

I have been watching your language and behaviour since quite some days. This is a warning

taksh

@sanjayrai
check pm and reply.
If you say anything for me which i don't like then i am not responsible for my rude behaviour.

ghoshatanu56

Taksh , I have a Gens ace battery with Dean's connector. So it's not true that Gens ace come with XT60 only

taksh

@ghoshatanu56
I haven't said that Gens Ace batteries only come with XT60.
I said "Gens Ace sends battery with XT60".

@ taksh
This is going too far.
Firstly, you behave badly with a senior member who is correct in pointing out your mistake.
Secondly, you are trying to argue for your previously wrong statement with stupid arguments.
This could get you banned from the forum.

Since you've read many forums, you'd have got hundreds of opinions.
If you couldn't decide based on those, I doubt if getting more opinions will help.
I fear this thread will be discussion for discussion's sake, with no data or value addition.
If you wanted data, you could have started a poll.

The choice is probably NOT based on relative merits, but on circumstances and convenience (& cost)
In my experience, most Lipos come with a connector, and most ESCs without one.
All the 3s lipos I've got in the last 5-6 years came with XT60s.
Earlier ones, and a few others had Deans.
So I have XT60s on all my 3s ESCs.
And a Deans to XT converter for the 2 old lipos I have left.
And JSTs on two of my planes that are on 2s

So from a circumstance/convenience perspective, one goes with the connector that came with the lipo.
This, in most cases, means XT60, and as Prabal said, helps with interchangeablity.

Unless you are very particular about your choice.
One very experienced member changed all his XTs to Deans.
How do I know?
Because he sent me dozens of his discarded XTs as a gift.

It's like voting, you know.
Make a choice for whatever reason, or go on asking for opinions...

@taksh,
Hope you realise that your posts create controversy and divert many threads.

My suggestion:
Please DO NOT respond to every new thread at once.
Wait for others to respond.
Then respond if you have something to add from your personal experience.
But don't generalise from just your experience.
Your Genace has an XT, Shantanu has Deans.
So experiences can differ.

And often your posts are RUDE.
Maybe because of the translator, or maybe because you ARE rude.
In Lucknow, wehave something called 'tehzib'

Before you respond in anger, please consider this.

Taksh you are mannerless in your speech and attitude. How dare you write these highly offensive words to someone probably older than your father?

1. Responses going far from original question
2. Hundreds of answers available

So perhaps it's time to lock this thread?
