Dear Mr. Anwar, I want to get into RC Electric/Gas/Nitro cars/trucks. I have seen some models of the RC cars. As i am new i would be grateful if you could direct me on information regarding advantage of GAS or NITRO fuel. Does Gas mean the everyday petrol we use for our vehicles or is it something different. Hoping for your kind advice also on Websites where the fuel along with the car are available. As getting methanol is next to impossible in my state. Kindly advice on the ideal gas/nitro car for a beginner like me and the availability of the fuels in India. Thank you and sorry for troubling you. Dear Mr. Anwar i thinki inadvertently posted the same subject on the wanted forum also sorry sorry for the mistake i amn trying to undo it.

For Gasoline cars, you have less options in India. HPI Baja is good value for money if brought outside the country. India prices are too high. Regular Octane 87 petrol from the bunks with 2 stroke oil can be used.

If you are interested in the Baja Clones (starting at 40K for a 23cc RTR version), you can contact Jacks Hobbies, Secundarabad. Google to get the website.

Gasoline, your initial investment will be higher than nitro, but will save on running cost over time. PM me if you want to discuss further.

I am not at all a cars person (yet!).  The other car specialists here would be able to advise you much better, and they have already started pitching in.

My experience (not much though) is from helping my brother with his nitro powered cars, and couple of others at the field.

I did consider a simple electric car for my son recently, and was advised by the local shop about the Kyosho Lazer ZX-5 RTR.  I had couple of suitable batteries already (used in my heli starter), so it was a good choice.  Still deciding on it.

Prem -  Like I said, I am not the car person  8-)

I know Indian Hobbies and Jacks have cars.  You can get their website information from our mega list thread.

The reference about Kyosho Lazer was from a store here in Qatar.
