Hey guys !
I have recently started ...
And I am building my first plane .. That too from scratch ...
Bt the problem is ... I left too much gap between the wings and ailerons .. I don't know if it will affect the flight air aerodynamics of the plane ...
All senior members plzz help !
Regards
Yuvraj

@ yuvraj singh,
The build looks very nice.
But if you are a beginner, and this is your first model,
then you have far more important issues to sort out than the aileron gap...
Unless of course you already have the flying experience reqd for a Mustang/Spitfire type.

yuvraj singh

No .... This is my first time !!!
Thanx for the compliment !!

Yuvraj a very good build but for a person who is flying for the first time I don't think that will do. Better build a trainer plane like the ft simple storch Extreme Sport's corro pusher trainer or buy a sky surfer or something like that

Yuvraj,
Like Iyer sir said, it's going to be difficult to fly this airplane as you are a beginner.
Now, that isn't going to stop you from giving it at least one try, is it?  ;)

You can try to re-do the aileron hinges or put a thick tape on the wing edge so that it covers the gap and part of the ailerons. Practice a lot on a simulator before you give it a go. If you don't already have a simulator, there are a lot of them available for free or as demos.

Good Luck!

Ohk !! Thanx guys !!!
@ swapnil ... I will surely try what you have suggested ... Bt is it possible that I can take this to fly today ? Or it's going to be very tough for me to fly this ?

Swapnil

That depends on a lot of things.

Can you please give us details about the electronics you have used and the total weight of your airplane?

yuvraj singh

My aeroplane weighs 900 gms .... The motor I have used is a hobbyking donkey 810 kv with 12x6 prop which can give 1.4 kilos of thrust ... 2200mah battery ... And my plane model is p40 kitty hawk ...

Swapnil

Okay.

You have selected the appropriate power system considering the weight. But, the problem is that you ignored the first rule: Build it light.

Even though you have the required thrust to weight ratio, the momentum of the airplane is going to be too large for you to handle as a beginner. There is a way around this and I have already mentioned it; "simulator practice".

The first airplane I flew successfully was an ESPA3D and that was after 4 weeks of simulator practice. You can try flying it today, but probably you'll come back disappointed.

yuvraj singh

actually that weight includes the battery and all...
And thanx for the advice bro ... I am going to buy the flight simulator ASAP ...
Thankyou bro for giving the time !

I know. The total weight including everything should be between 400 and 600 gms for a beginner. A 900 gm AUW for a plane of those dimensions needs fast reflexes.

Also, you don't need to buy a simulator. Loads of free and demo versions are available.

@ swapnil bro .... Can you suggest a few free simulators and from where should I download them ? Torrents will work ?

LHSFinder

Try real flight...
You can download it from a torrent site
but you will require a dongle to connect your remote to your pc ...
They are quite cheap : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__13597__USB_Simulator_Cable_XTR_AeroFly_FMS.html

Download a RealFlight demo. I started with RealFlight G5 and then moved on to AFPD. Search 'Free RC simulator' in google, there are loads of them out there.

However, an even better option for you would be to make a foam or coro glider/ trainer using your current power setup. You can put the electronics back in this plane after you are confident enough. This way you would get a real world experience without having to worry about crashing.

We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

But you will still need a controller. I bought an FMS controller for 500bucks which I use for phoenix rc v4, if you want torrent link pm me.

Thanx a lot guys for your time !!! I have noted everything !
Thanx a lot !!

In FMS you can use an Analog joypad with two axis control for two sticks. Configure it at Mode 2.
You can add some long handle with two increase the length of the control.
You can check that here.
