Dear Anwar,

Am a newbie to RC Hobby! I have a 3Ch RC control system, and have not flown yet! Does it favours Take-off and Landing? If yes, how to connect the two servos? (I mean how to connect the elevators and rudder with the two servos)

Merog,
    Should be simple - one for the motor, one for the elevator and one for the rudder (I think there is a nursery rhyme thats got similar tones - if you can replace channels with bags of wool  ;D  ;D  ;D). If you don;t have a plane then get a slow stick and I believe the Mr.Moss from RCForAll, these need 3 channels only.

merog

Dear Tg,

I think it will be better for a bewbie like me to connect one for the elevator an one for the alevon! How would it be if controlled with alevons?

elevons are not to be attempted by a newbie just now. you know that's why they familiarize beginners with rudder at first. So after you learn to fly with the rudder you can add ailerons or elevons later. though i will tell you how to do that. you need to split the elevator of a beginner plane and connect the servos to each part of the split elevator. now connect both the servo's to the receiver (be sure to plug it in the right way). power up transmitter . connect esc and the battery. and then in the mixing controls of the tx mix the channels to which the servo's are connected. and voila there you have it elevons. refer to the tx manual for help. using v-tail mixers is easier it also teaches you about the new equipments available in rc. what i suggest is fly the beginners plane and have at least 7-10 hours of flight time or until you are damn sure of the controls and your skills. then follow the steps i mentioned.

hope this helps

Thank you ver much pickel6,

Can you suggest me a plane model, best suited for the following (Which only I have)

3ch 27MHz tx

Rx with all the mixer capabilities

5x3 prop

brushed motor

brushed esc

3s Lipo (suitable to the above system)

These are all the parts of F27b stryker of Parkzone!

Can you suggest plane models which work with these, especially sholud be foamies (Thermacol), and am a newbie!

this should work the best with the gws slow stick most people around the world start off with this plane. it is the most renowned one in its class also it works on a brushed motor. only thing i believe you shall have to change is the propeller. ask sai uncle he will help you out for sure.

in my opinion this is the best plane for you also please try to give some more specs of your motor

Dear Subrahmanian,

here are the more detailed list of the components I have...

2 servos (Mini Servo (5W) w/Arms, Long Lead ParkZone PKZ1071)

480 brushed motor (480 Motor w/Leads: F27/B Stryker ParkZone PKZ1216)

Parkzone Tx (Tx: CH 3, 27.095: F27/B, Slo-V, DEC, P-51D, FW-190
ParkZone PKZ1243 )

Parkzone ESC/Receiver 27 mhz (Rx (SR-327LT): CH4, 27.145: P-51D, F27B, FW-190
ParkZone PKZ1554 )

Prop (5x3 Propeller for 3S LiPo: F27B ParkZone PKZ1004 )

And some reason I dont know, I dont love the stick type planes. So, is there any alternative for a trainer with 3ch, made of completely foam (fuse too)?

I planed to build F-22 raptor, but somebody stopped me saying that It's not a begginer plane!

i personally own a f22 raptor which i am unable to fly i have to ask pramod bhaiya to help as i am improving my skill. Rc powers did a review of a glider which is a closely matched plane but it is RTF it even comes with a transmitter. so much of your components will not be used. i personally did not like the stick planes but i highly recommend then as they are durable too and they teach you about cg and various other items. well if your mind is set on a non stick plane. you can buy this one - Accipter Badius

according to price slow stick is better as you already have all the electronics. but if you have some more money to spend you can buy Mr.moss arf which has everything other than radio(which you have). in this way u can use the brushless system lipo and everything which comes with Mr.moss on other planes too. it will create a stock of items for future use. also moss glider is a close competitor in beginners category also it can be made into a aerobatic plane too

great information of a cheapest resource for a begginer. The e-bay's plane which (1800/-) is really very good for stick model haters ;D

But you people can suggest a compatible model not to buy, but to build (from printing out the plans and upto the CG-test)?

i really do support scratch building. but merog i really recommend you buy a beginners plane as scratch built planes are good but you need to learn basic flying. if you buy MR. moss http://cgi.ebay.in/RCFORALL-MR-MOSS-GLIDER-BRUSHLESS-BEGINNERS-COMBO_W0QQitemZ110362947515QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_203?hash=item19b224efbb&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262&_trkparms=|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A30 it is an investment for future you get

    * Motor : RCFORALL Brushless 2204
    * ESC   : RCFORALL DY 10 AMP ESC
    * Battery : RCFORALL 7.4V 850 mah battery
    * Lipo 2-3 cell Charger with 1 amp wall adapter
    * Servos 2 nos : RCFORALL DY 0204 : 6 gms
    * Prop : EP 8 "
    * Connector and other Misc. including glue and tape .

plus an additional 10% discount being a member of Rcindia. this investment shall take you a long way.
even now if you are not convinced give me some time i will find some plans and post it here
