@great choice again.
You'll be surprised at how unexpectedly well a Corsair flies.
Sometime last year, i'd posted a thread about a Corsair i resurrected.
If i can locate it, will send a link.
Best wishes.
@ KK Iyer - Thank you sir, never flown a corsair before, eagerly waiting (:|~ to get this in air.
started assembling the wing.
I think i see the future of sweepstakes results.!!!!
First balsa plane build i guess :thumbsup:
Is this completely scratchbuild?
Subscribed sir.
@ v2eagle - how can i win while you are there
@Rcneil- This is my third balsa model in the sweepstakes
started the corsair again
completed the wing and fuse, servos installed.
Looking so good.
kindly put more photo of making fuselage ( specially giving round shape to fuselage)
kp
Exceptional! {:)} {:)}
Really coming on well :D
@jana.f22,
Looking great.
Remember to sand all surfaces smooth before covering.
You can use
1. A long sanding block of wood or aluminium
2. Wrap fine sandpaper around a palm size piece of sponge
You can also consider giving the bare wood 1 or 2 thin coats of Touchwood (perhaps suggested earlier by Shobhit sir). Sand with the finest grit you can find, at least 320.
It would be nice if you mentioned the name of the designer and the plan source, to give them due credit.
Looking forward to video.
Regards.
Thank you rcnithesh, saja sir, kk Iyer sir.
@KK Iyer sir I will defently follow those ideas sir.
@kamalsahai sorry I completed the fuse didnt take much of the photos only have to sand it.

Awseom Jana. Always wanted to make a corsair. Sub'd
excellent Jana {:)} {:)} :thumbsup:
Thanks everyone.
Sanded and covered the plane, servos installed, decals applied.
more pics. cowl completed yet to cover.
made a decal set with photoshop. have to print and change the decals.
Super cowling! :salute:
Can you tell us more about Best Practices for Decals adopted?
Ahh from RCM plans then Jana? Check for warps in the wing, in the pic the port wing looks warped especially the alignment of the aileron. When do we see it at the field?
Another idea for cowl, get hold of a suitable plastic bottle and cut it out for a perfectly uniform cowl. Paint it and you are done
@sanjai rai sir : Thank you sir, there nothing to practise just grabbing wat is available in the google.
@flyingboxcar : Yes captain RCM plans. it is not the warp its just one side of aileron pushrod is connected, and for cowl I had the idea of plastic bottle, but i thought of going along with the plan. I will be maidening it on next sunday.
completed the cowl and changed the decals.
Jana in my book declared you the winner already. Too good.
Jana there is a thread on RCG where people have posted almost any insignia/markings you could probablly think of.
Can't wait to see it fly.
Wow.. she a beautiful.. so where we are flying this weekend !!
Wow Jana sir this is epic.
Finally model is completed and ready for the maiden. (:|~
Two model maiden tmrw, hope it wont rain.
Thanks malai, nithesh.
@jana.f22,
Excellent {:)}
Best of luck.
Ensure CG is not over 25% back from leading edge for test flight.
Very unstable if tail heavy.
A pleasure to fly if CG correct.
Remember to hold full up at the start of the takeoff run in the test flight, to prevent noseover.
Release as soon as airborne.
Landings are great despite tall undercarriage, if you flare just before touchdown.
Kk iyer sir thanks for the info
Here the maiden video of my corsair. Forgot to leve the elevator during take off so almost stalled but recovered. It flew amazingly well with just 25% throttle.
