RULE 1. STAY FOCUSED

A flyer can become disoriented and wreak havoc when he looses focus on his aircraft while flying.

PREVENT PROPELLER STRIKE BY FLARING NOSE DURING LANDING
by http://flyingfoamies.blogspot.com/

Many flyers even experts will confirm that they have recurring experiences of propeller striking the runway during landing. Propeller strikes can result to a propeller tip scratches, chipping off or worse breaking.

Solution: As airplane approaches the runway,
1. slowly reduce throttle to a speed just enough the airplane descends in a not so steep angle
2. then few inches before touching the ground, pull elevator up a bit to make the airplane's slow down as nose flares up 4 to 5 degree angle and giving way for the landing wheels to touchdown first
3. then slowly put to neutral the elevator so the entire wheels of the plane is on the ground and balanced for a taxi as the throttle is gradually reduced.

NEVER LET YOUR AIRPLANE FLY INTO A BRIGHT GLARING SUN.
by http://flyingfoamies.blogspot.com/

Flying into a bright sun will turn the image of the aircraft into a silhouette and in a split second will make it tricky to distinguish positioning.

Note in the photo below, the airplane looks like it's either flying towards or away from you.

Flying into a bright blinding sun could lead to disorientation and disaster.

BEFORE SPRINTING INTO THE RUNWAY THERE ARE NECESSARY THINGS THAT REQUIRES CHECKING.
by: http://flyingfoamies.blogspot.com/

1.  Make sure your flight pack (RX) and transmitter (TX) batteries are fully charged and not draining. Check voltage regularly if batteries are old or shows sign of corrosion.
2. Check receiver of cracks or liquid residue and make sure it functions correctly.
3. Check servo if its working properly without erratic movements
4. VERY IMPORTANT - servo extensions have tendencies to become corroded or they may loosen due to vibration.
5. Check transmitter if it is sending correct signal to the receiver for motor and control surfaces.
6. Check linkages to make sure there are no cracks or loose connections. This also applies to hinges on the control surfaces.
7. Make sure wheel collets are secured so wheels don't flew away during take off and landing
8. Check Engine and motor to make sure they work properly.
9. Check the gas tank for fuel leakage. Make sure gas tank is fully secured on to the fuselage.

WHEN TAKING OFF, ALWAYS CONCENTRATE ON THE CONTROLS AND ANTICIPATE ANY CHANGES CAUSED BY THE WIND TO IMMEDIATELY STABILIZE THE AIRCRAFT.
by: http://flyingfoamies.blogspot.com/

Blowing wind can make aircrafts roll on take offs so be quick in your decision on what inputs to apply to quickly stabilize while flying headwind for an altitude. However, too much elevator with less engine power on a windy condition can result into a stall and sudden dive, so if possible add power all the time to enable plane cut through the wind.

BEGINNER PILOTS HAVE TO LIMIT TILTING ANGLE WHEN STEERING AS TIGHT TURNS CAN RESULT INTO A GRAVEYARD SPIN AND CRASH.
by: http://flyingfoamies.blogspot.com/

It is advised for beginner pilots to limit angle of tilt when steering an aircraft to a direction. Remember that too much angle during steering can make an airplane do a knife edge and loose lift leading to a deadly graveyard spin and crash when altitude is insufficient.

THIS RULE APPLIES TO EVERYONE. NO EXEMPTION!
by: http://flyingfoamies.blogspot.com/

When flying, never fly in a crowded area - your aircraft may malfunction and crash in to a property or hit a person. Only fly in an open field where none is a target in case of a crash accident.
