Can a flysky channel 6 two position toggle switch upgraded to 3 positions for multiple flight setup.

This guy successfully replaced a 2-position switch with a 3-position switch on FlySKy FS-i6x. Doesn't explain much, but says he couldn't get it to work on the FS-i6.
