I been away from rcindia for a while now. Had a lot of work. But I did manage to get some sim time. Got some video clips, of course, the spectacular crashes have been edited out.  ;)

Hopefully, I will get more time now.

Sunil - Good to see you practicing

But it seems like the "focus" aspect is missing  :(

You should practice a "takeoff, one of two circuits and then proper landing" sequence, before you invest time in acrobatics (although it is a lot of fun).  If you are not able to land your plane time and again at the right place on the simulator, the chances are more that you have issues with the real thing later on.

My 2 cents..

I think you should also practise flight orientation...concentrate on the left and right wing and keep the bird straight.. Do some simple big circles in the air, gain altitude and then try some simple loops to start with..

why dont u get the easy star out of the sim closet ?

have a good one..

Sorry didn't give proper explanation. Those clips were taken with max wind. The last 2 were normal landing, and yes, I am still working on my landing. Without any wind or low wind I am able to land, most of the time. I did it when I was stressed out from work.

I did try the easy star. It was pretty easy. Without wheels, the sim doesn't tell me if my landing "crashed" my plane.

Will get a few more videos, with landing. Let me know how I am progressing then.

I am uploading another video with 3 landings. All of them were back to back landings, only editing done was to join 3 clips together. Let me know what you think once it is uploaded. Feedback and instructions are always welcome.

Hey,
Here is the video I promised. Back to back flights; only edit was to join 3 videos.

1st one is on an Easystar - Too easy, but I have managed to land it right at my feet before.
2nd is on Cessna - Easy. I still have to master how much throttle to at different stages of landing.
3rd is on Christian Eagle. Great plane. There was no throttle during final approach and it still glided too far. Right before landing my screensaver came on. Not the best of landings, but any landing that doesn't crash your plane is a good landing, right?

Those were not training videos. I was pretty stressed out from work, so cranked the windspeed to 12m/s and tried to fly. :-)
most of the time, i crash when my screensaver comes on, or when i have a hard landing. Even if the plane appears to be ok, the sim says i have crashed.

but yes, in the future, if i crash when i was trying not to, i will post it. would love to get some pointers.

Hi Sunil,

Check out this video on how to make nice slow turns..really helpful..using rudder + ailerons..
