Title: Getting back into Rc after 1987.
Post by: rajlko on August 24, 2012, 07:19:00 PM
Getting back into Rc flying after 1985.  Was in NCC Airwing, where we used to make models out of balsa, line control models and flying and making RC models was an opportunity available to few.  Getting the equipments/pats was also quite a big problem in Lucknow.  Further i knew of no other person win Lucknow who was interested in the hobby and slowly my interest withered away. So recently, when my son, all of 8 years expressed his interest in aermodelling/rc flying my interest was rekindled and both of us became avid followers of your blog. have learnt a plot. recently ordered a micro 182 from Hobbyking  to remove rust from my system. recd it today, but could not fly it today due to rain and wind. Fellas, please wish me luck coming back after 27 years :help:, please inform me of outlets in Lucknow  from where i can purchase the required equipment. hoping to take our maiden flight tomorrow,
raj & mitul.

A bit of sunshine, on what was otherwise a mixed/cloudy day !

Please do try to catch up with folks who fly regularly in Lucknow... you must be knowing who they are by now :)

Somewhat same story here but I have daughters....
Welcome and all the best....... You dont need to restrict yourself to Lucknow there are courier services now they deliver what you buy from anywhere.........
And they (both lhs and courier ) are reliable.....

This is the case  of me and you in the 90's 20's  when we have only India's Hobby centre and N.C.C Air-wing, and I admit I've no knowledge of RC stuff, so I joined as a beginer

Good evening to you all, Thanks for the encouragement, we kept waiting the entire day for the winds to go down a bit and the weather to improve. Bit it was windy and rainy the entire day. still waiting for my flight. folks, we are trying to fly at the mini stadium at vijayant Khand in Gomtinagar,  I am working in customs myself and ordered the goods through Hobby king and was expecting a duty of 28% to be charged on the goods, but surprise of surprises, no Customs duty was levied by bombay couriers. soon try to order my balsa wood glider. Can any one tell me how is the Hobby King 6 /9 channel Rx/Tx. all folks in Lucknow, hope to meet you all soon. ;D
