Hi
I would like to build my first quadcopter and after searching on the forums I have decided to go for a ZMR 250 clone quadcopter build(Rs 4500 approx) + flysky i6 (Rs 3500 approx) + lipo. I am a complete beginner with no previous flying / building experience or electronics experience.  Can you guys help me build it if I get the parts. I am afraid I will fail to get it off the ground or fry it.should I just get a hubsan x4 for 4k approx instead?

Meanwhile I'll also like to connect the i6 to a simulator .  Please suggest right cable .

Thanks

well you can make your own simulator cable for using a old usb cable and a headphone jack..there are many vids on youtube to do so..
dont fear that it wont fly. if you do everything correct it will.
i recently made my first quad i was very skeptical if it would even fly... but it flew great.

just be careful when soldering to the f.c . practice b4 final soldering.
i suggest that u dont buy a readymade quad. assemble one yourself. its a lot closer to the heart that way.
goodluck

it would be nice if you could mention your budget so that we can recommend parts.

My budget is 12k approx , give or take 1 to 2k.

Till now I am thinking about zmr 250 clone kit for rs 4500 which contains

Zmr 250 clone frame
Spracing F3 acro mode clone
Readytosky 2205 2300kv motors
Blheli 20A ESC
5030 props

Flysky i6 for around 4k ( which receiver)?

Lipo + charger ( yet to decide)

If I get it off the ground will decide on a camera for aerial photography, maybe a mobius with additional budget of around 8k. So please suggest something that will be able to carry a mobius or equivalent hd camera.

Thats a good budget. you can make a excellent quad.
firstly lets address the transmitter..

the fsi6 is a good tx . i have the same. i bought it for just 3.5 k from hobbyxyz ..along with it i got a fsia6b receiver which has a ibus output for quads( ibus--- means u need just one wire going from your receiver to your f.c)
the receiver is however not very compact( yes it fits in a miniquad easily but there are other more compact options like the x6b receiver for fsi6.
but anyways for 3.5 k the transmitter issue is sorted out...now

here is what i would suggest.
emax rs2205 2205s motors - 3.4k ( i dont know how good ready to sky is. better to buy a diff brand) maybe dys samguk wei series motors .
4 in 1 esc20A from racerstar for 2.5ish k
f.c for 2k
any quad frame for under 2k.

as it so happens i am making a new quad for 15 k...( coz i recently lost my new quad in just like 3 days of making)
here is what i have decied to buy

1.  i have decided to use a 4in one esc. a 30A speedix one is available on gettbs for just 3.5k which i think is a steal. if you can invest more get the hobbywing 40A 4 in 1 esc for just 4 k on banggod ..its quality is on point
you can buy 4 individual esc but then the build doesnt end up as neat as with a 4in 1.

2. gettbs also has  a f.c called the betaflight f4 which i used on my previous quad for 2.2k..its great..

3. for frame i am getting the f2 mito on banggood for 2.1k  its lightweight at 87 g and great looking.

so above all is standard no matter what racing quad i decide to make..and thats what i personally think would be good to buy.

the motors... emax rsii 2206...they are the latest motors from emax ..slightly expensive but i am sure worth it.

if you want to buy slightly cheaper ones ..i will try to list a few ....
brotherhobby r3 ( yes old but still great)
rcx motors on rchyper are great ..worth every penny,,,, would definitely be my 2nd choice.
emax rs2205 or rs2205s old release but still worth the money considering the discount on em.

try to buy a 2207 motor or a 2206 motor .. esp around 2500 kv..thats the golden spot you want to aim for..
if you are going to make a long range setup then,, you must consider a different set of motors and props

but please dont buy a cheap flight controller...or a cheap esc...ive read that in the long run its just not worth it.

Imperial fire

i know it sounds ridiculous but up ur budget and buy a non-clone f.c ...dont buy a generic esc with blheli firmware...

blheli is just the software..the hardware itself also has to be good right?!!! ...

there is nothing more frustrating than seeing your first quad not perform well coz of bad parts. bad parts can hurt each other... a bad esc can destroy a motor ...or a bad f.c can ruin a entire quad....

if you have to wait for some time and then buy... its ok..wait ...but buy quality parts..... you will enjoy every single second the quad is in the air.

I just placed an order for flysky i6 with fs ia6b reciever for Rs 3500 + 250 shipping.

Now need to decide on motors , frame , esc, fc etc Budget 8k. I may go for a zmr 250 clone kit for 6k because I'll be sure everything works together and is compatible. Also i guess separate escs will be easier to replace if one goes bad.

Will upgrade parts later or buy a new one if I get it working as it's my first build.
If you can provide a complete part list for 8k then pls suggest

Will also need a battery+ charger that can power all this and also a mobius like camera in future

threeonethree

Please suggest suitable battery + charger for a 250 quad kit
