Hi all,
I am new to this forum and interested in RC stuff..
I have RC Buggy, RC Bike and a 3ch Heli (all china made  ;) )...
Now I am planning to build my own RC Plane.. Coz building is more fun then buying one..
I have got some info about RC Planes from the below link
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=681556&page=8

After reading through RC - India Gems and many different threads in this forum, I finally registered here to post my question...
I want to build my own plane using CORO or Thermocol.
I read many threads and most of the users recommended SPAD Planes for beginners.
I also checked out Blu-Baby http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=681556&page=8
but more interested in building a SPAD.

1. I need ur guys help to select a simple SPAD Plane from the below link, so I can download the plan
http://www.spadtothebone.com/freeplans.htm

Also The plan which I will download from the site are those printable for e.g. I print them and stick the printouts on thermocol /coro and then start cutting..?

2 . Please suggest me what all electronics will be needed for this.
I mean what type of motor, servo, etc,..

Thanx in advance to evry1

aafi, welcome. you have to look at your flying skill first, a lot of people build aeroplane and in the first flight total it. spads are not very easy machine to  fly, at low speeds they tip stall unexpectedly. making yourself a aeroplane with depron is not a bad idea, longevity of such model is the question, 9 gms servos and some motors which akky is selling is good enough, which is the radio you have ? does it have DR and Expo ? how much of sim time you have logged. (Sorry if i am sounding like Dr Grace Augustine). my point is take one thing at a time.

(a) flying skill ? → sim time → Electric/High wing trainer

(b) Build → depron → Coro

c) Buy → trainer → Pattern → 3D

Take it from there

I hope it helped
Gusty's Hangar and Introduction.

A Good pilot will practice until he gets it right,
A Great pilot will practice until he can't get it wrong.

building / flying....

both are different skills/thrills.

accrd to me sims, good only for practicing.. may not teach u everything. would'nd recomend'em for a start.

First learn how to fly,  then build.(coz u'll know exactly what goes into building a plane)
