Vaibhav, the airfoil in your pic is a flat-bottom. I've come across many articles that say 'don't use true flat-bottom airfoils for anything'. What is your experience with these?
roopeshkrishna has very well shed light on the subject.
Personally i feel it is better than a flat-top wing. So it helps.
This link has got loads to say http://www.airfieldmodels.com/information_source/math_and_science_of_model_aircraft/rc_aircraft_design/plotting_airfoils/about_airfoils.htm
it also says so
QuoteFlat bottom airfoils are used for powered aircraft that are willing to make the compromise of having more drag in exchange for slow flight or high lift capabilities.  They do not penetrate the air well but can stay aloft at very low speeds.  I have built a handful of models having flat bottom airfoils that can hover right in front of me because the aircraft's minimum flight speed was below the wind speed.

@roopeshkrishna - It would be of great fun and inspiration to go through your build log. Go for it. :)
How to season thermocol?
Motto: build, fly, and modify.
Prefers working on designs than electronics.
No pre-made plans. Use blueprints, make calculations, build, fly, troubleshoot, fly again.

Naattu, the word "seasoning" my phrase, is a simple proses, that i will post in an article, to make an rc plane from thermocol..i am working on a new biplane now..after finishing it i will post a detailed article here..i will post a video also..so you can get a clear idea about making an rcplane from thermocol, and how nice will be...actually i wasnt making anymore rcplanes for me for years...but some works over our forum re ignites my interest to make a BI.so, Naattu, give me a little time...because i am also working on the Drifter by now...please...my BI plane is based on a WW1 fighter...by this time i found a motor to rework..and have to make three surface movers from ball pen refillers...hard job...

dear roopesh sir
try to add maiden video of the plane at the end of the build post
this will complete the post ,

waiting for the thread.

Vineet..its easy to shoot avideo of a boat is easy..but shooting a video of a car or an airplane is not easy to me, because i need two hands at time...hi..hi...here i do not have anymuch friends...but sure i will add a good video of the new Biplane, along with my other planes...within this time i also started to make a Dewoitine high wing fighter of WW1 and an Eindecker E.III ...both goes up to 44 inch wingspan...so i will post all related videos here..i hope it may inspire you some, as all you inspired me a lots....
