I'm a newbie to the rc world and marking my footsteps towards my first quad-copter. I have bought everything except the motors and esc. I've decided to buy the "multistar 2216-800kv motors" and "turnigy plush 30a escs".So these motors are not available in india,I've planned to purchase it from hobbyking.com.So what I need is information about customs duties and conditions to import to india.
My total order from hk is "87$"(including shipping charges).So what I need is some advice.Help me:)

Don't recommend importing from HK, it takes a long time and you could be charged ridiculous tax.

Most products are available here from LHS, so get it from India itself.

@Inv3nt0r
   I've seen that already,but its actually "version 1" which is quite old version.I've contacted the seller.
By the way,I'm using the apm 2.6 with ublox 7m gps.

What did you mean by LHS?I know they charge import duties and etc but even after that,its quite profitable.
And I'm ready to wait,unless the customs stall my order.
Waiting for your reply:)

LHS is local hobby store. I'd recommend ordering from LHS because

1) Whatever you will pay including customs will be equal or more than purchasing the same thing in LHS
2) If you order parts not available in India, you won't be able to get replacements.

What if you crash and your motor breaks? You'll have to wait a long time for replacement from HK. I'd suggest using motors available here so replacements are available without issue.

And also support our LHS by buying stuff from them. They are really doing a great job in keeping the prices at par with the international prices...if not atleast near to it. You will get almost all the stuff in India itself.
