Dear All,

I want to make small RC plane at least length of 14-15" inch. (Show below image for example)

But I did not know which motor, esc, receiver, battery, charger, servos, propeller to use?

But, Before one month I purchase one big size Avatar Helicopter and it has 2.4 Ghz Transmitter as shown in below image.

I want to use this remote as a transmitter but dont know about other electronic parts.

So,

Requesting you all to help me for choosing other electronic items and from where i can buy?

Waiting for favourable reply..

Thanks.

Hello;
I Know you are requiring favorable replies but i don't think mine is that favorable.
1) THAT PLANE! I know you are wanting to make a plane like that. But that same plane is available on amazon.com.
my cousin had it! that plane does not lift off the ground. Do not buy that plane.
Instead go to:

http://flitetest.com/articles/FT_Old_Fogey_Scratch_Build

http://flitetest.com/articles/FT_Flyer_Scratch_build

These are great trainers and especially for the first timers.I built both of them in sequel and flew them successfully without SIM practice.
Build one of these and check out the videos on my you tube channel:

(Mind you: I was a bit too steep on the rudder d/R for both the planes  but  after correction the turns were low an' slo')

They are not that small but i am telling you that smaller planes are much more difficult to handle.

2) you cannot use that tx without heavy mods. cause one side is just one axis movement and secondarily there are no dual rates and expo settings which are very very important for beginners  .
The rx in these heli's are small; complex circuit boards that neither accept servo wire nor the esc wire.

My Advice;
Get yourself a proper rc system

I know you may want to utilize the components of your heli but that's just too complicated.
You can do that with the help of experienced forum members but i would suggest that you buy proper and decent equipment.

Hello prabal
Thanks for sharing important information and videos.
Your both plane looks nice and fly smoothly.
  So according to you I should go for big plans not in smaller RC.
  But
If u HV seen video in forum that someone has build rubber powered plhanger rat ane and convert into RC.
He has one toy plane and use that electronics.

Tanmay.mathur

Thats totaly possible u could use that tx and heli parts. Just see the builds of seniors like romanx sir search the forum you might not get the specific  answer but surely you shall get an idea

Hey ;
The hangar rat is an indoor plane.
If you want to build a indoor plane; using parts from that heli is possible but for outdoor use it is not.

Hello Tanmay,

My avatar heli has total 4 motors on wing area and one small at trailing.

And this motors can be used at front. But what to do for moving left - Right.

How to Leds assist in moving left and right?
Tanmay?

prabal276

@ tanmay;
What good will those motors at the TE do?
He can rewire them to tose which will be attached  at the le. And use smaller props.

Tanmay.mathur

Led is just a load in place of the tiny motor.
the movement left and right is due to the diffrential thrust in the motors. And roll is by the relative  diffrential of right front and left backward motor.Try to Understand

Hello All,

Just to update on RCI , Ronak has taken the WL toys Electronics from Me along with a KIT ( scratch) for a micro plan suitable for the electronics.

Find attached the pics of electronics parts and the Micro Plane Kit.

Awaiting eagerly for him to complete the kit and post flying video.

Better you clarify. :) Ronak wanted to build a plane out of heli 's electronics. Is it that way? (The claps were for Ronak  :giggle: , and not you :headscratch: Sorry.

read about thrust vectoring using dual motors by which we can provide different thrust at each prop by controlling the rpm.. Most chinese rc helis have his function of different rpms for each motor in it if the heli is co axial(will have 2 motors in it) ..helis with Flybar have single motor...
