guys,

i am a newcomer in rc world. if anyone has some tips for rc planes then please share with me as i had made a plane but could not able to fly it. every time it falls on the ground.

regards,

Rcjabalpur

Scratch building is not the best thing to do when you are just entering the hobby . You should buy a 'sky surfer' type of an aircraft and then move up , you should gain some basic knowledge about aerodynamics as it will help you alot . Although IMO without practicing on the simulator you would be wasting your time in the field , if you can get a sim like real flight 7 etc .

Every plane if not flown properly falls to the ground.... the world is just like that..... even if you know how to build a plane and fly it scratch built ones very very often fall to the ground and they do not want to fly.

Moral of the story is..... buy a proven model or a kit and make is as per the specifications.... Read some aerodynamics as to why does and aeroplane flies..... Learn how to fly on a simulator...... Look for a mentor to take you to the field for the first time and fly your model for you...... learn from him.

That's how..... it is done.

No cakewalk for a newbie.....
Well I been into aeromodelling since I was in School....  and then been in the air for over 30 years.  Now looking to be back into aeromodelling full time...

motors get faster even when throttle is at fixed position in quadcopter......quattro esc kk 2.1.5....can anyone help

sooraj.palakkad

What do you mean by motors getting faster ? , is the quad gradually climbing at fixed throttle ? then it is fine.

But if motors go up to full throttle, with out movement in throttle stick , that is a problem.
RC Hobbyist and an Aerial Cinematographer..

neil

Motors are moving at a defined speed when throttle is pushed up to some limit but when throttle is left at that position the motors tends 2 move little more faster after sometime

sooraj.palakkad

Do the quad hover ? or it climbs up on it's own with out throttle movement ?

Well, is the flight control board calibrated ? ,
Have you flown with this before ?

I think this belongs in a separate thread. Anyway, my advice for problems with the kk 2.1 is:
1. Check your firmware version. The latest is 1.19S1. If it is out of date update ASAP.
2. Run a factory reset and calibrate your ESC, run the ACC calibration
3. Do a receiver test. Check that the max values when you move the sticks are between -90/-100 to 90/100. For the throttle it should be between 0 and 100. Adjust your trims if needed
4. Check things like your stick scaling, transmitter expo/ endpoints.

We also need complete details of the setup- Tx, motors, ESC, frame.
