I haven't ever used depron so can't tell you the differences. Wait for a senior to answer that...
Personally, I think coro is really easy to work with and almost indestructible! My 4mm coro plane crashed last week from a height of 20 ft. and there was hardly a scratch on it!
If you still have doubt, check this out:

No but i know every basic of flight mechanics-

That's great dude, but a simulator will help you get a feel of the control surfaces. And most importantly you'll learn about the many situations that can lead to a crash. Also, you can learn a maneuver on sim before trying it on a real plane.

There are loads of sims available for free.
Also, try the RealFlight G5 demo, it's really good (and free). Here's the link:

:headscratch:-Tell me about epp foam, coro, depron pls

Swapnil

What exactly do you want to know about them? (price? ease of use? strength? flexibility? availability?)

Everything

Swapnil

Depron is stiffer than EPP but more breakable. EPP will take lots more abuse than Depron but is a little heavier.
Depron is used as the moveable surfaces in an otherwise EPP aircraft.
The advantage to Depron is that it can be molded into more complex and true shapes than EPP.

Coroplast is what we use for SPADs (Simple Plastic Airplane Designs). Coro is heavier than foam but is more resistant to wear and tear and hence can take more abuse.

Their price and availability depends on where you source them from. Just do a search here for more info.
For your reference, I bought a 3mm coro (6ft x 4ft) for :Rs: 250 and 4mm coro (6ft x 4ft) for :Rs: 350.

epp is not the beginners stuf and especially in terms of scratch building with it...you can compare epp with paper ...its virtually unbreakable but easily gets teared with a little bit of pressure  or impact...and needs alot of  proper structural inforcement
Arcarious @ Akky.....
I have never crashed while flying....Its the Landing only that gets me....
Happy Landings....&.....Happy Crashings

Swapnil

Ah, I was waiting for this info!
So, akky bhaiyya, for a beginner which one is better, coro or depron?

Dude you are a budding mech engineer, you can surely make a landing gear yourself!

i can but how?

Swapnil

Well, it depends on what kind of planform and AUW your plane has.
So far, I've used coro, high density thermocol, plastic and small wheels from toy cars.

For coro wheels, cut circular discs of the required diameter and glue them together.
For foam wheels you can directly cut a wheel out of a foam block.
Plastic wheels are heavy but don't deform or wobble.

For axles you can use ball/gel refills reinforced with metal thread, kebab-stick etc. Also, you can use nut-bolts as shown in the pic.

Hope the below pics help you.

Swapnil

For lightweight planes with small props people avoid using landing gear to keep weight within limits. In such cases you got to belly-land the plane.
Also, a landing gear won't necessarily save your props (or other parts).
Try learning on a grassy/ paddy field so that you don't have to depend on a landing gear.

Which one are you referring to, the ESPA3D?
Here's another simple one 'Micro Slope Stick':
