Read VC's experience with Jack Hobbies.

Sorry VC, but I have to spill the bean... its matter of another new comer falling in trap.

Kaiser, why don't you try Cessna Cardinal 182. ? It closely resembles what you are looking and is available with more reputed R/C Shop :

Hi VC,

Well you are absolutely correct about the behavior of the concerned person from Hyderabad.  But I purchased one R/C kit from him, it is working fine. See the problem is not with the products we are purchasing whether it is Chinese or something else, but the price. See is there anything more inside the Tx or Rx circuit than a computer. I don't think so, then why the price is so high.

Well few days back I have asked you about twin propeller, R/C kits etc for "Mistral Ship". Now I have purchased an ordinary Relay based 4 channel remote kit, which costs about Rs. 750/- in addition to that cost of motor is about Rs. 350/-(25,000 rpm); Gear motor for Rudder Rs. 150/-; Batteries – Rs.600/- ; So the total cost comes about  Rs. 1800/-; Now if you purchase the same thing from a RC Store, the tradition 2 Channel kit, b/l motor, receiver, servo, batteries etc  it will cost your more than 7000/-.

I will post the video of the r/c kit very soon, as some mechanical part of rudder is pending.

But one of us has to go for hand made RC kits. I think it is possible by arranging the required electronics parts and equipments.  If anybody in our forum having  little experience in electronic field can do it.

I have not seen much enthusiasm in making DIY Radio controller even in the western R/C forum, where there is dearth of component and talent. Making R/C Tx/Rx system needs long process of testing as these systems need high reliability.

If you are going to persist in the hobby for longer, with more 2-3 reviver purchased over the years and fly costly planes, you needs guts to trust your DIY Radio system.

I betcha the Radio you build is neither proportional, has any error correction and would be having institutive Console like Sticks (again proportional) found in the commercial Tx . You can always start like this way, but long term, you would move to standard Radio system when you go to R/C clubs/Fields to fly (Channel problem)

What I would suggest Kaiser to deal with Jack folks cautiously. We already had 2-3 negative feed back from Senior members here. I would in the worst case walk into their show room and inspect the item throughly before buying.

Well Mr. Ujjwaana,
You are right about DIY rc system when it matter to fly aero models for its accuracy, reliability and of course the range. You can't fly aero models with the help of relay based or RF module rc systems. But these rc systems are quite helpfully to run rc boats or in robotic applications and the price factor it always affordable.

I would really appreciate the fun in the DIF factor. I myself made some non critical equipment like Servo tester DIY. If you are so price constrained, there are Tx available for as less as Rs 3-4K as well. Check www.rcforall.in or talk to its proprietor mr Sai.

Happy Sailing
