Sundar ,
Contact me on mobile 9380577074  and visit us at our shop in Adyar , I don't know what all parts you need because I am not into helis .
But I do like to encourage any DIY building  hence if you give me a list of components you need I can import them for you from either E sky or Colco when I import other products from them  .

Hey Sundar,
Please don't mind, many of us do use SMS language while sending SMS, but kindly do take your time and space to type in proper english here. There many senior member here who may not understand your post, beside forum rules also discourages this.

All the best any ways.. I bet people might not have heard much about 'scratch building' a Heli. Not totally impossible, but its quite a bit difficult than scratch building a plane. You also need to be well versed in Heli flying before attempting that, else you are ball park with  Igor Sikorsky, Heli inventor.

What I would suggest you is, start with an RTF  Coax heli and SIM side by side, then get a CCPM Heli kit like T-Rex clone. Only after you understand the intricacies of Heli (flying, tuning, repairing), think about making from scratch. But if you are still ardent, start with help of LHS like Sai (Rcforall) or search E-bay for T-Rex 250 or T-rex450 parts. There are parts like main rotor CCMP, swash plate assembly, ballinks , gyros which need mechanical/Electronic marvel to make at home. Its much challenging to even mix - match parts in heli due to unforgiving proportion constraints with them.

Sorry, I'll change the use of my language ujjwaana.

After reading through the steps in the website which i had mentioned earlier, I understood that it is a pretty daunting
task. But, am willing to work on it. Actually I first thought of making a quad-rotor, But without knowing the basics like
how heli's are made or works i cant accomplish it. So, building a heli's from scratch would give me a hands on
experience and moreover its fascinating to make one out of your own hands.

Hey Sundar,

you have a company here.
I am also building heli "from scratch". Though right now just gathering info on how to work on it eg. whats the size of motor, an ESC, power requirement etc...

Almost decided on the size of motor and ESC.. just trying to figure it out the gear assembly to connect motor with the main shaft.
I am not able to get the proper sizes of the gears which I am looking for. ( in Mumbai) may be i m not checking at right places.

So Guys out there, can you help me providing locations in Mumbai that store parts for RC Heli building.

Thanks in advance
regards
G.

This thread is going to be interesting. I always wanted to build a heli when I was young. Once I brought a 20 rs toy helicopter thats sold on the road side(with a hand pulled spring launcher) and tried putting a hairdryer motor on it..... Forget it, its a horrible story to tell. I didnt even know that the radio adapters current wouldnt be enough  :giggle: Forget the balance problems altogether, I didnt know what a gyro was back then.  :giggle:

ok.. guys. Checked few places in Mumbai (local area shops). Its difficult to get parts required to build it.
Decided to buy a barebone kit and assemble it with motor, gyro, esc, servos... atleast that way i will able to satisfy my building urge.

will update you all with my project.
