Hi.can anyone tell whether a plane can be made using brushed motor out of toys.I have a lot of themi want to make a gliding plane with these from thermocool.no transmitter will be used.only battery and motor and adjustment by fixed stabilizer and make it fly own
No, those motors aren't powerful enough.
Can we increase voltage. Or make low weight plane.
If you increase voltage it will tost your motors. You need plane,s motor to fly your plane, brushless is better than brushed, .
And you can,t fly without radio and reciever .
Rajesh, I've tried doing that. It just doesn't work. The mechanics of flight won't allow it.
Why not wait some time, collect some money and build a nice beginner's plane. The cost of electronics has been coming down and will hopefully continue to do so. In the meantime try to equip yourself with as much knowledge about rc airplanes as you can.
I have collected all rc items required but now the ploblem is last items that I don't have is esc and flysky reciever.
you can ... search for a high torque brushed motor.... and a worn out mobile battery... ( remove the circuit from the battery which limits the current) a prop and you have a good power system.
3Volt dc motors ( generally used in toys ) will not give the required torque..... you need to search for it... BUt there are such motors... ex. heli tail /main motors.

A mobile battery have not enough c ratio to fly a plane. it will puff. you need a 2s or 3s lipo battery with 15 to 30C.
You can buy used ESC etc..
try using a mobile battery ( its 1s Lippo) c rating not mentioned, but its good enough for a small plane.
remove the ckt first before trying.

I assume when you say gliding plane - you mean freeflight
- Yes you can make a plane out of a brushed motor - you have to gear it down so that
it can swing a larger prop. You can use a motor from a cheap toy car.
- Yes you can use a mobile battery - only thing - you will have to find a way of limiting its discharge or time its run

To all the chaps who say no so readily - what do you think we did before brushless motors and esc were available at affordable prices ??

this hobby is there even before radio was invented.
you can make a plane to fly with brushed motors used in toys but not a cheaper ones.
there are particular toys where the motor will be a little big like 1" dia and have a gear to wheels. find some motor and try attaching a dig SF prop like a 8x45 prop use a Nicad battery or Lion battery.
The airframe need to be as light as it can be. preferably built using ice cream sticks and covered with polyethene covers. and it needs lots of trimming to get a perfect circles and no drop in altitude till the end of flight.

I have a model of a glider that flies quite well on a 2 channel system on still days. It is equipped with 2 small brushed motors driving two small props(no gears involved - plain direct drive). Direction is achieved by proportional steering, no rudder aileron or rudder. Just a toy, but it flies quite well. It is built out of foam. This F4U Corsair came with a brushed, geared motor and 650mah 7 cell NiMH. AUW 400-450gms.
It is therefore possible to fly a model with a brushed motor.
However with today's power density available in BL motors/ lipos, no point in building a model with a brushed motor, except for it's own sake
If you have a brushed motor, try it anyway. Suggest 1/4x1/4" balsa or 3-5mm CF tube for fuselage, 3-5mm biofoam for wings. Best of luck

There are lots of free flight micro models (12 " wingspan) that run on a brushed motor. I had two of them last year. First you need a micro motor that can use a 1S lipo or nimh. When the voltage drops so des the plane. Recharge and fly again.
