Hi all,
I am new to making RC plane. so need help and info.
I am trying to make a MIG 29.
So far i have made the body with foam. The foam that i use is very rigid and light.
The photos of my build are attached.
The problem are
1. i think the elevator are at end but should they be separated.
2. Should i cut rudders in both the tails.
3. what power motor to put and where can i get it
4. where will i get other stuff like propeller, transmitter, servos etc and how much will it cost. ( at low price)
i had a biserk idea in mind as i want to keep the cost down, just give your opinion if it can work.
Can i buy a helicopter from reliance etc shop which are something for 1000 buck and will include battery, motor for propellar, i am not sure if i can use its propeller also, and a transmitter ( i think its IR but i am looking for some 3 channel remote)

welcome to rcindia..
Please make a complete meaningful title..
First thing is Mig is not a beginner plane..try any high winger plane..u can't use tat 1000rs heli's parts in ur plane..check out the following thread for purchasing parts..

This is a very thick foam , you will require atleast 400-500w high KV motor,
Gusty's Hangar and Introduction.

A Good pilot will practice until he gets it right,
A Great pilot will practice until he can't get it wrong.

overall weight of plane til now is nearly 300 grams. Its dense thermacole sheet

i am bit Confused in choosing motor battery and other components etc.
how much voltage and A battery to choose with some motor and what type of sevos to choose.
i have shortlisted a motor with 1250 RPM current 30A voltage 6-14.8V et is 110 grams and power is 480W. now what type of battery should i choose for this, what should be power rating for ESC and what power rating servos to choose.
can someone help in this.
one more question that i have is, does receiver and motor and other parts derive power from same battery or do they need separate battery.

I am also a Beginner but from all i read , you can use 40a ESC , 3s 2000ma lipo.
And yes your receiver, servos and motor will drive power from same battery.  ( seniors may correct me )

Am a beginner too and from what i have read here and elseware, i can say that mostly ESCs have built in BEC(battery eliminating circuit) which is their to eliminate a second battery pack for reciever and servos, and power them from the same battery thats providing the juice for the motor. So i think it must be possible to use a seperate battery for servos and reciever.
And nice plane their buddy, if am not wrong, the building material is the kind of foam architects use to create models? And do you care to share the plans?  ;)

Hi Saurabh,
i think you are the right person who can help me.
You have used 2200 kv motor, i am not able to find it in any store, should i use some other with hig RPM or should i buy with high power. can you also let me know from where did you bought the propeller, as a 5.5 propeller is also not available and the space in mig is tight to fit anything else.
