Hello I am a beginner and I want to make a plane on which I can learn flying (slow flyer). However, I had purchased a brushless motor from Avionic which is 1600kv M2024. Can anyone suggest me a plane build with components for it?
1. I need a light build
2. No 3D needed. I am a beginner.
3. Preferably foam build / stick?

Thank you in advance.

go for ft tiny trainer
i am also building it
you can find plans in  flite test

Relianear

Okay. Thank you for the reply!!

Is that motor over/under powered for it?

i am also beginner .... i think this motor will work

Start with Slowly. Easy build & easy to fly. Plan is here https://www.rcflug.ch/plans/detail.php?pid=661
When you build a slow flier, 1.Try to minimise AUW as low as possible 2. Keep Total wing area around 13+ ( good for a beginner) 3.Maximise lift by aerofoil & tip dihedral . Good luck

Slowly looks like the old fogey by flite test. The only problem is whether it will fly using this motor...

@tictoc21,
Wow. You make it look really easy!
BTW, where is your lovely flying field?
Regards

tictoc21

Thank you very much @k k Iyer sir,
This flying field is near Alibaug, in Raigad district, about 3hrs travel from mumbai.

Wow. Nice flying! You make it look very easy... It is a beach and from Maharashtra I think :-p

@SI 74 -
Thanks for the detailed info. So you bought all parts from different websites? Can you post your motor please?
Can I teach myself on Slowly? I have a simulator but no experience or a teacher.

tictoc21

Yes, known as aakshi beach and rarely crowded...

Ok. Thanks a lot! Sorry for the question again. Though I have tried (and failed) making rc planes before and read a lot about plans, you can say I am a first time builder with no flying / building experience.

So how to scale down? I know I need to calculate thrust and it should be well above the total plane weight. But scaling down is new for me.

Okay. Keep the proportions. You need only one thing to do= keep weight of( fuselage+ wing ) around 100 gms. If you use 3mm depron(cover it with clear tape), that's easy. http://www.vortex-rc.com/product/3mm-depron-10-sheet-pack/

If you are (really ) a first time builder/flier , note a few things ( very important) which would help you while flying. 1. Keep the motor in 1 to 2 degree (nose) down angle 2. Make sure the horizontal stab is of sufficient width (refer sites for measurements) . 3. Keep horizontal stab parallel to wing edge. 4. Make sure that plane's wing is fixed well to fuselage (by right tension bands) . 5. Ensure range of movements of both elevator and rudder before each flight.6. Never fly above people esp children who might get injured with our lack of expertise! 7 . And the most important of all - keep CG at the right place (by adjusting placement of lipo) , for beginners , one third (of chord )behind leading edge of wing -( not for flying wings) . Never let CG be behind this point , but if it is little forward, okay. ( landing may become slighly difficult , may crash ). If you are sure about all these, the only thing you need is confidence :) , because your model will fly for sure!

One easy way of printing a plan at home is to select " print poster " if you use A4 size papers.

Wow. Thanks a lot for all those practical tips. I will definitely consider each n every  tip. Just now I was looking at different forums and I found that FT flyer and FT tiny Trainer are two other good plans that I can consider.

I will post here once I make some progress :-)

Where is this place you are flying?

sanjayrai55

You have mentioned Akshi Beach. Where exactly is that?

Relianear

It is in the Konkan region. West coast (Maharashtra). I think it is close to Mumbai. There is a launch service from gateway of India. Once I was there.

Perhaps he meant that one. Generally quite crowded
