Built a "depron 'stick' plane last week. Purely scratch  ;D built. Used a repaired Avionic 1600 KV (16 gm)motor,(10 gm) 12 amp mantis esc, two 3.7 GM servos & (33 gm) 500 mah Haiyin lipo.12 gms landing gear, 6*5 GWS prop.AUW 145 gms. Fuselage is a small piece of depron remnant  ;D hot glued to a short cf rod. The best part of the built is that there is plenty of room for minor corrections before each day's flight, which is rather an enjoyment than a headache. It can take off from a very short runway, flies low, slow or at enough altitude.
And my weird   8-) :o  ;D  colouring :)
Edit: And my repaired FS CT6B TxRx  ;D

Dipanjan

great plane, congratulation. Flies pretty well.
You repaired a ct6b? Details on that please?
Do all micro plane fly like this? They don't fly straight as far as I have seen, they fly at an angle with the direction of propagation. Is it normal for all of them? Can't they be made to fly straight as larger planes do? That would look cool.
Honestly,I have 1% experience in building RC planes

SI74

@Dipanjan, yes , repaired with the help of RC india, esp @BalakrishnaReddy . Plane flies straight, but I trimmed its rudder so that it flies in circles( due to space constraints in my backyard). Once it reaches above those trees, I fly them straight, esp for fpv.

can you provide plans for this? i would like to build one

SI74

Sure👍 you may use any "micro" motor weighing around 17-25 gms instead and any 10-12 gm esc. Most important part is the dimensions of the wing.

I just found the correct term for my previous question. This plane flies in "High Alpha", right? And Most of the micros do that. Is there any reason for that? Can it fly like regular planes do?

SI74

@Dipanjan, there is a reason for it in this plane. Because it is a "refurbished" motor, it just stops spinning at high rpm; the only way by which I could make it work was high alpha+aero foil.
