I have dis RC car..it has a 2 channel transmitter...of course a recivr...a motor wid an ecm i guess...nd only a 9gm servo. Now my question is can i use dis stuff to make a simple scratch plane? Please i hope the senior guys reply to this!
welcome
i like your handle name madhira (What is your preference) , karthik read this (http://www.rcindia.org/rc-india-forum/the-rc-india-gems/), use search copiously .. any specific issues guys are there to help.
THNX MR.augustinev...glad tat u replied in such a short span of time..but i hav already gone thru beginner topics...(im okay wid kartik)...nd wat abt da idea?
Not possible IMO.I came in the same way but realized that it would not be possible. You'll need equipment suited for a plane.A 2ch car radio cannot do it.And if you've gone through the beginner topics as Augustinev sir has told you,you will know more.Read,read,read. :)

ya custom will irritate .do two things as i amdoing as i also want one.
1.try to find some one who is coming from abroad and can bringone for you this will be the cheap and best .
2. wait here for sale.
3.if you have money then take it from the resellers in india .
.and for any help like on reseller on some thing just search it over the forum.
BUt isnt there ne way that can be delivered to india without hesitaion..i heard ..tat sme of the guys had no hesitation wid the customs..
so you want to try your luck even i thought that but never done , u can do it , but many experienced here told me that it create a problem.
and if you got succed i will also book one for me.order turngy 9x
Dear kartik, i think u should atleast spend some time in reading posts pefore proceeding or making anything. This will save your time and money.
Dude, since you are planning a boat, i would prefer that you go on with the transmitter and reciever of your car itself. these have enough range(more than 200 feets) for a terristrial or aquatic beginner. For airplanes, offcource you require a good Tx,Rx(transmitter, reciever).
When you grow up in your hobby, u insist for branded transmitters and recievers.
Abhay
And ha, secondly, for a boat you have everything in car, the motor, servo. All you require is just a prop, which you can make yourself if you are good at.
Material choice is yours. I will suggest you to go with thermocol, which you can get painted on later on when you want to enhace the look as well.
HI ABHAY1290...GLAd thau replied..yh wanted a simple rc boat...thru my rc car setup...i ve seen one of the members doin it..so i did..thermocol would be good?i mena here i get only 1mm thich thermacol sheets..need help in that..nd 1 mre thng even if iam a beginner..i do need a good pair of rx tx right?
Are you studying Julius Caesar?? the roman words like 'thou' and the accent made me remember my school days...
Anyways
Yes, off course kartik you require a good pair or Rx,Tx. But in my opinion, you can do well with your car radio setup initially, until you recieve your good ones.
Thermocol, i think its 1"inch" not mm. The thinnest thermocol sheet available in market is 3mm.
Dude, you can stack and join few thermocol sheets using waterproof glues. After drying you will get a thick outcome.
Get in touch if you proceed, i will can guide you in construction techniques.
Im not very good at boats, so experts will help you technically.
Abhay
