Need to understand the difference in the range of Rx when we denote a Rx as a parflyer or full range. Case in point is the Spektrum 6110e and 6200. What is the distance limitation of these two types of receivers.

Though there is no such set standards, below is is the general range category of different 2.4G Rx

1. Indoor : 300ft/100m
2. Park flyers : 400-600ft
3. Mid Range : 600ft-1000ft
4. Full range : 1200ft - 1600ft or larger.

This is what I grasped from various forum while finalizing to either for mid range  6CH Futaba R6106HF or a full range 7CH Futaba R617FS for myself. People suggest that there is little or no range difference between them, few even hacked the 6CH to 7CH but putting a small resistor. This may be different for your Spektrum Rx. Better go for general review of them on other bigger forums instead where people actually tested the range on ground and not the numbers told by OEMs.

For a small plane of size less than 28" WS, a parkflyer would be fine. But if the price between full range and Parkflyer is not much (not $40 as for me), better to go for full range Rx and be safe
