I normally use Umbrella Frame rod as pushrod. You could get it for free from junkyards ( if the owner isn't a greedy sob.) It fits perfectly with that thingy ath the end of a pushrod (can't exactly remember it's name.) It's flexible but not bendy.

thats good umbrella spokes, some use bicycle spokes too, I use a higher grade or thicker binding wire found at the hardware store

but if you are forced to use flexible wire, then encase it inside some thin pipe like a drinking straw, and tape the pipe well onto the fuselage or wing.

There should be a hardware market in your city with a shop that stores all kinds of metal wires.
Ask them to show you wires of gauge around 1mm (give or take).
Check if the gauge and flexibility suits sky surfer. That should work.

The shiny hardened steel wire that comes with sky surfer is hard to find if not sold by rcbazaar.
If you have access to a paper clip manufacturer/supplier you can try that.

The only correct solution is Google for Spring Manufacturers in your town. Go their place, and request them to give you a piece of 0.8 or 0.9 mm Spring Steel wire

Use Linkage stoppers, or make a Z Bend with a nose pliers

This one is steal wire which hard and flexible enough.
Hard when used for short length and flexible when used for long length.
You can find it in hardware store or electrical store.
Please remember there is another wire available for centring which is made up of soft metal. This one is steal wire available in large shape rings.
Ask for hard steal wire. And remember as it is steal wire it has rust on it.
The only problem with this wire is to make it straight for any application. You have cut it to desired length and use FLAT head hammer to make it straight.it need some time after hammering properly you will get straight wire hard and enough flexible through it.
Use only flat head hammer curved head will not work properly.
And last this you must need lot patience to make it straight.
For glider type craft you will need a narrow bore pipe to work wire properly.

Found something that may meet your requirements.

Wire from roomheater. Looks similar to the curved pushrods from central servo to ailerons on my Yak.

And earbud for outer tube.

Hope this helps
